cwhitmuzik
I have no clue if I'm going to preorder this or not. Used to be one of my favorite bands, don't love the new song. we'll see.

Was not expecting the new song to sound how it did ha. Here's to hoping the rest of the album rocks out
Brevity38
Just listened to the new song, had no idea it was even out. I'm not that impressed but apparently its a radio edit, there's like 40 seconds missing. I'll wait to hear the whole thing before I judge too hard. That being said, this is probably going to be drastically different from all of their other albums.

AWasteOfATime
Woah, this is like straight up radio poppy. A whole record of this would be... something. I don't hate it. We'll wait and see.

Yeah, its not terrible, just not something I would expect from Yellowcard at all.

cwhitmuzik
I mean, Here I Am Alive was incredible, one of the best songs on that last album, which is their best of their career. Brevity38 and cemeterytapes
cemeterytapes
I mean, Here I Am Alive was incredible, one of the best songs on that last album, which is their best of their career. It doesn't even make sense how good Southern Air was.
cwhitmuzik
If I say that their last two records were the best of their career, how many people would agree with me? Ryan's vocal improvement is by far their most important development throughout the years.
nardes
If I say that their last two records were the best of their career, how many people would agree with me? Ryan's vocal improvement is by far their most important development throughout the years. And his lyrical consistency. So many bands fade out because they don't know what to sing about and then the music suffers... Somehow Yellowcard has been able to continue writing deep, meaningful, catchy, beautiful music

Blaine
I've yet to hear the lead single, though that will change once I'm home from work, but I can't imagine not appreciating it based on the reasons many have mentioned in this thread. The biggest thing that caught me off guard was the electric drum beat it was using. Otherwise, the song has grown on me a bit now. Vocals are awesome
David Loyd
Just heard the first release for the first time and right off the bat I really like it. It sounds like Yellowcard to me. There's usually 2 or 3 songs on each release that are more pop than the others and this sounds like one of 'those' songs. I Can't wait to hear the rest. And like Cwhit kind of said, With the exception of Lights and Sounds which I still like just don't love, so far I think each record is a little better than the last. himynameisShane
I completely enjoyed the new song. It sounded yellowcard to me ( could just be because of Ryan's voice). The guitar solo at the end through me off a little though
nardes
I'm really loving this song... but it makes me miss LP so much. I will go to my grave saying he's the best drummer out there right now
cwhitmuzik
It's also a radio edit, missing about 40 seconds.
AWasteOfATime
This is an interesting way of them avoiding the fact that they lost such a good punk drummer.
AWasteOfATime
Also the 7th would be the release date of the NFG record. Kinda hope those don't come out on the same day? wouldn't Hopeless want to avoid this?
McCandless
Can't listen to the song at work but Yellowcard are one of my favourites, I'm hoping it hasn't changed much from the last two albums as I'd be happy with just more of the same. New Yellowvard sounds like AVA with violin(which isn't bad)
