twentytwo
Got this in the mail as well. Probably my favorite EP ever. So glad this was pressed. Looks and sounds beautiful.
The Exquisite Death of NK
Definite pirate press sand on it, but that happens with the haze variants done there. Wiped it down and it played immaculately. Can you elaborate for the uneducated?
GhostTrail
Can you elaborate for the uneducated? When manufacturing the "haze" variants, the standard color pellets as well as some sort of powder is utilized, which leaves behind that horrible grit on the finished product. jrodan
GhostTrail nailed it. somewhat annoying, but honestly not the biggest deal as once you wipe it off, it plays like buttah.

Shitty Rambo
What do you use to wipe down your haze variants? Any recommended vinyl brush? Thanks I just use some random ass generic microfiber cloth that came with a bottle of guitar polish. Works fine.

I did instantly notice that my copy seemed to have a ton of grit on it. I cleaned it before playing for the first time and it sounded awesome. But do you also have to clean the sleeve the record comes it? Seems like some of that grit may remain inside of the sleeve and then end up back on the record when stored. Not sure how one would go about cleaning the inside of the sleeve.
GhostTrail
Depending on what type of sleeve it comes in, I usually just end up replacing it. I have however held the sleeve on it's side and sprayed some compressed air in there; that's usually done the trick. As far as cleaning the vinyl itself, I've done as Rambo said and wiped it down (lightly so that the grit won't scuff the record) with a microfiber cloth. I should probably invest in some cleaning materials though.
