boizee
^dont worry, they'll have more by thursday. Zing! PS...this is kinda shady, not gonna lie. If I knew there'd be so many available, I wouldn't have been so quick to snap up a pair of copies.

Even if you wanted to make money off of it, god forbid the record you paid $14 for doesn't sell for $100. :-/
hootenanny
^harsh words but he's got a point. i hope to at least get one copy, because i really want one.

hootenanny
yeah thats true too. definately odd they "found" them and now they are taking a number of them on the road with them(brand new). for each show!! wierd!!! but when there is a limited number and i want one. i hate when people buy ten. and i pretty much have to pay the hundred bucks to get one. Yeah...it wasn't so much about making money, I just was kinda bothered that they keep "finding" more and more. I snapped up two (one for myself and one for trading purposes). And yes, I truly do like the music.
jhulud
This whole nonsense boils down to one of two things on this "find": 1) If it's the first press indeed, then the pressing run is a lot more than the alleged 1,000 or 2) It's a 2nd pressing and Triple Crown is not saying a damn thing about it. That's all I gotta say 'bout that!
hootenanny
sounding a little more like a second pressing the more i hear about it.

xunspokenliesx
Hahaha, I just got an email from Merchdirect and they said, "I am pretty sure they are represses." That's pretty shady on Triple Crown's part...considering they noted that they "found" some...
jhulud
We can all beat our heads against the wall on this one and try to read too much into Merchdirect's statement that they're "pretty sure" and all that shit. As I said before, they're the middleman...do they really have the full scoop? I don't know. Are we that hard-up wanting a 1st press?...Maybe so. But in the end, it's vinyl...readily available again and not having to resort to paying the high eBay prices. I say so be it if it's a repress...sure, I am not way thrilled about that either...but I will still be putting that piece of wax on my turntable and enjoying the music. With that said...The Juan! has spoken!
thomas
Any record that goes for $100+ on ebay, I don't mind if somehow a repress is pressed so long as I can get it for a reasonable price.
magalvsr13
i dont care, repress/found box/whatever....i just want to spin some deja
riddle350
Like I said before, I'm just stoked to finally own this, and for a reasonable price. This is one of those records that I just wanted to have no matter which press it is.
monk0nuggets
Being that I already have the first press I'm not mad, but it would be pretty shitty of them to not make it clear to the public if it truly is a repress.

jhulud
So being the asshole that I can be, I hopped over to the Brand New street team boards and posted the great news that was communicated to Ben which he shared with us about these being represses. Let's see what kind of frenzy that creates. (I'm at work bored out of my skull...I need something to amuse me!)
