I had to sell mine years back to help raise money for a new car down payment. Mine has hiss and static throughout the entire first record?, sounds almost like its extremely dusty or dirty. I didn't even try the second yet, it sounded so bad I didn't have the energy. panicchuck Posted September 14, 2015 Share Posted September 14, 2015 My plain pressing (black) has always sounded excellent. I mean dead silent with excellent soundstage. I may have got lucky with my copy but never had any of the issues I've heard reported. I would have picked up this new press if I needed it.
