hirize
Weird they packed it that way, the sleater kinney box was packed extremely well. I added another pic of inside the box. It would have been ok if the box wasn't as heavy as it is. Mine took enough of a hit to the side to break thru a spot, the corners might have held otherwise. The records are snug inside so no splits or damage occurred.
axisrecapital
I got mine today, but it was in pristine shape. I'm in Seattle and I'm guessing it shipped from Seattle (not around the box it shipped in right now), but no damage here...perfect!
Vern
How do the record sounds? Super keen to get this.
nathan_s82
Got mine on Friday, and it was in awesome shape. I listened to The Winding Sheet (which actually had an extra song compared to the original release), Whiskey for the Holy Ghost and Scraps at Midnight, and they sounded great! streetwaves
I Love You Little Girl. The original version's last track was Juarez. B-side to the "Down in the Dark" 7". Glad it wasn't something that hasn't been released.

Where did you get that? Is it still available? Best I can do in the UK at the moment is £80.
Speedpig
Yeah I just missed that deal.... xtra-vision.co.uk Had the link open all night on Friday, waiting for permission from the wife. As soon as she gave me the green light it went out of stock! Gutted.
morfiend
Got this in the mail the other day. I decided to wait and see if I could get a copy through a distributor for cheaper and thankfully one had some for $75 shipped. Sub Pop really came through, this is an awesome box set. I've listened to I'll Take Care of You and Field Songs so far and they sound great.
soundfanz
Does anyone know if the UK and US versions were pressed at the same pressing plant? Still waiting for my US order to arrive.
dawhizz
Is it widely known that these are available individually? The only place I've seen them is at Sonic Boom in Seattle. I haven't seen them advertised or in any other store, Amazon, etc. (I don't even see them on the Sub Pop website). I hoped to eventually get the box, but I'll Take Care of You was the only one I really needed, so I was floored when I was in Seattle recently and saw the individual reissues on the racks. I only picked up I'll Take Care of You, but I think the rest were there too. Maybe this is old news to some, but it wasn't to me.
apirk
Maybe they just opened a box or something because I'm pretty sure they are only sold in the box.
dawhizz
Maybe they just opened a box or something because I'm pretty sure they are only sold in the box. I think that might be right. We're they sealed in the box? They were sealed on the racks. Anyway, if you want to pick up one in lieu of the box, looks like Sonic Boom might be your place, for as long as they last. They are in discogs too, I think.
hirize
yes sealed individually inside the box
axisrecapital
It would appear that the good folks at Sonic Boom also created individual listings for individual represses on Discogs f and are selling them individually on Discogs as well. They are either taking box sets apart and selling them off or maybe somebody at Seattle Subpop dropped of a bunch of individual copies for Sonic Boom, but they aren't available individually as an official release.....sooner or later, someone will "complain" on Discogs that these aren't "official individual releases", which would eliminate the option to sell them individually (only as a boxset compilation), so get em while you can. apirk
I wouldn't be shocked if sub PPP dropped off individual copies they had for damages etc there. Probably not enough of them to sell on their site
