Pitchfork's 'One-Stop Guide' To Buying a Turntable Setup

Recommended Posts

It's downright frightening.

Edit: I looked at it again just now after having seen it about 2 hours ago. I am pretty certain when I first saw it, their basic table was the LP60, and they were talking about its simplicity of use. Now they've replaced that entry with one about the LP120. I'm pretty sure that was the case. Or I need more sleep.

LP120 is basically $90 away from a Debut Carbon DC (which didn't even make the list).

The Carbon was my first table (a great one) but most people getting into vinyl & reading Pitchfork have lower budgets when they're first getting into it.

It's not unfathomable to see it as their "basic" recommendation.

At least they didn't reccomend a crosley lol
