jlz
Has anyone ever used this type of mailer http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250260994067 for shipping 7"s?
scottheisel
I've received records in those before and I've never had one damaged.
thomas
I've had 7"s shipped to me in similar looking ones, and all have been good.
geezfools
this is the only thing fat wreck and VC uses, at least that I've got from them. It's not 100%, but it's pretty damn good, sometimes if the postman is rough, corners get a little dinged up. I reuse them though without issues... controlthebleeding
I'ave had about 50/50 occurances with these. Matador sent my shit in these as well as FAT, and both records were pretty banged up, but then again, i've gotten a few freom FAT that were fine. I think maybe it all depends on how the carrier treats them as to how you will recieve them. but there no assurance it'll protect you record. I just use regular mailers and put them in bubble mailers for added protection just to be safe. but thats just me.
adamlikesmusic
I've had 7"s shipped to me in similar looking ones, and all have been good. Those are the ones for 7"'s. I've never had a problem with the 7" ones. The 12" ones, though, I don't like. Too big for a flat package, they get dinged up pretty easily. faith
NEver had a problem with the 7" ones. I always reuse them (for padding) when I ship 7"
andywax
I use those mailers and have never had a complaint. I also stamp "fragile" and "do not bend" on the outside for extra precaution.
chiefwahoo
Virtually all of the singles I buy from overseas come in those. I'd normally complain about how much sturdier a box would be, but I've never had a problem with those mailers for some reason.
celebdeath
add me to the list. great 7" mailers. sometimes you get ones which are cardboard on one side and paper on the other. those arent so good. a stiffener in those would help, but the complete cardboard envelopes are much better. Huh, that's weird, because every time I've ordered from VC I've gotten records in regular ULine mailers. Ditto for Fat when I ordered from them a few months ago. But those were for LP's only. I have had 7inches mailed to me in those, most recently from Bombed Out Records from the UK, and those arrived in perfect condition.
