momentumlost Posted July 15, 2008 Share Posted July 15, 2008 i agree with bioshock..but orange box held little for me after i beat portal...i'd wait til thats 20$. i mean...half-life 2 and the episodes 1 & 2 for it are cool...but you really need to love half-life to trudge through it all. and team fortress holds nothing for you since you stated you dont want an online multiplayer game. i also recommend civilization revolution and battlefield: bad company...the latter one is a bit hard to control but the story is pretty cool. lego indy is gool...ive been rocking the demo out. ditto for skate...i tried playing tony hawk after this and just couldnt...the controls are SO much better. rock band is OK....but i got pretty bored with it pretty quick...i think im over the guitar hero thing. partysmasher Posted July 15, 2008 Share Posted July 15, 2008 Skate, GTA IV and Bioshock are by far the most fun games i've played offline. If you do find yourself wanting to take anything online, i'd recommend Call Of Duty 4, i've had months of enjoyment out of that on XBL but the campaign mode is pretty short and not worth paying full price for if you don't intend to play it online.
