kamalatapes
CHARGERS/RAIDERS SHARING AN LA STADIUM??!http://www.chargers.com/news/2015/02/19/joint-statement-raiders-and-chargers This is just about the most horrible idea I've ever heard. It's almost like they want death in LA after each game from either team, in the bars, clubs whatever... Of course I'm looking past the smoke screen and seeing it as a bluff to really cause some urgency for Oakland and SD to react. If this doesn't light a fire under the cities asses I don't know what will. God our officials are complete idiots when it comes to the decision of building a new stadium here. Too many egos here Aw fuck guys, this is just really irritating me. I know the Chargers started off in LA but man, that was 1960. What the fuck do I do now? I'm disgusted with the Chargers owners right now. I'm disgusted with the politicians here. I'm just so fucking tired of year in and year out pouring my time and emotions into this team that is now supposedly going to leave. Guest
Excessive celebration is against the rules, but it's not cheating. Just like what the patriots did wasn't cheating. Were they filming the other team? Yeah.. In a stadium of ~70,000 people. It had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that they were filming, it was the technicality of the camera's location. But the entire *story* was that they infiltrated their opposition's deepest darkest secrets, and used that as the ultimate advantage. Excessive celebration is a penalty, and it penalized in accordance with the rules (By the way, horrible comparison). Filming other team's defensive signals for nearly 10 years was apparently also against the rules and penalized as the league saw fit. Just because you don't think something is or isn't cheating doesn't make it that way. The Patriots were penalized for their actions, they were found guilty. It's really a moot point now. paintedinexile
Tired of hearing about "Deflate Gate". The supposed under inflated balls were used in the first half, when it was a close game. They blew the doors off the Colts in the second half with the regulation balls. Had zero impact on the game. kamalatapes
kamalatapes
So if you look at the Raiders facebook page there's hardly any activity, no fans blowing up about the shared stadium proposal with the Chargers in LA, do they suck that bad to not give a damn? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Don't the jets and Giants share a stadium?
Valeriano
Gotta say, Jameis is looking phenomenal throwing today, at this point, the only questions are mental.
thebiglebowski
Kinda torn between hoping the Lions grab Gurley and wanting them to wait until the 5th round to get a running back. Reggie Bush is done. Cut for sure.

Family Friendly Rap God
Don't the jets and Giants share a stadium? Yeah. The only reason they built a new one together is because NY wouldn't build the Jets a stadium in Lower Manhattan
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
K, then i see no reason why san diego/oakland sharing a brand new stadium is a problem if oakland relocates back to LA

It could work and it's less financial burden for each team
paranoidantroyd
I think the point wildflange is trying to make is that these 2 teams are divisional rivals. Also, the rivalry dates back to the AFL days.
PortugalTheBatman
Also Oakland and San Diego aren't close. They'd have to go for quite a drive to go see their teams. Yes Metlife is in NJ but isn't it right over the George Washington.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Oakland would move back to LA, i thought that was understood

Something like 40% of ticket holders last season in San Diego were from the LA was what I heard
paranoidantroyd
Cutting Deangelo has been tossed around for over a year and wouldn't be a huge hit to the cap. Lulz. Lol that's cute. Due to our last GM We can't cut Stewart or DeAngelo because of their guaranteed money.
Family Friendly Rap God
And your point? It only saved 2.3 million. It was a stupid move regardless of his reduced production. But hey quote me all you want for LULZ.
paranoidantroyd
It's not a matter of smart or stupid. It had to be done and was virtually inevitable.
thebiglebowski
I'm not sure I'd say "only" 2.3 million. That can get you an average starter at most positions, hopefully replacing a below-average player. Means something if Deangelo wasn't bringing anything to the table you couldn't get out of a 6th round pick making around the minimum. Despite having a decent year, he was and had been a locker room cancer for a while. It way too early to see what Gettleman will do with the savings but right now, I would've kept D. Valeriano
Not going to lie, this whole Dez Bryant video thing has me a little worried. If it's true, then it's clear why there is no long term deal.

stl_ben
Wish the league would just say who was moving to LA now. How does Raiders/Chargers not make way more sense than Rams. Just don't want another year of non-stop will they are won't they leave on local sports radio.
