casey
There was a poll online awhile back where you were supposed to make a list with your favorite record from each year you've been alive. To keep things brief, how about just your favorite record from the year you were born? Doesn't necessarily have to be a record you own. If you don't know off the top of your head, you can check wikipedia. Just put, for ex: 1982 In Music, and it will have a section with records released that year. Me--1982: Elvis Costello & The Attractions-Imperial Bedroom Runner up: Misfits-Walk Among Us

thesupervillain
For 1984, the best two albums unquestionably are Prince's opus "Purple Rain" and of course, The Boss. Born In The USA! I just got back out of bed to come back and say that I can't believe I forgot "1984" by Van Halen.

mediocore
For 1981 I'd have to go with Black Flag's "Damaged". Or maybe one of the Minor Threat EPs ("S/T" and "In My Eyes"). Although if I could count a Greatest Hits album, I might go with Queen. Honorable mentions: The Replacements - "Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash" The Adolescents - "S/T" The Exploited - "Punks Not Dead"

cosmonaut
1973Tom Waits - Closing Time Nice one. For me, it's probably Curtis Mayfield's 'Got to Find a Way' from 1974. I was a year too late for 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.'

jhulud
Just like any and all previous threads in which we reveal and talk about our ages, this one is making me feel old. Some of the albums mentioned I remember actually buying when they first came out!

meyercore
For some reason, I dont listen to much music that came out around the time I was born (1989), so I'm just going to throw out two albums i know from my birthyear and that are decent.
