dante3000
I know it's an oft dismissed genre but I'm looking in my dark closet (metaphorically) and I can't help but feel Third Eye Blind's S/T album is one of the best, most cohesive and over all enjoyable albums of the 90's, or any other decade. Anyone else got any favorites?
birdwell
never dug 3rd Eye Blind My fav has to be Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness
dante3000
never dug 3rd Eye BlindMy fav has to be Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness Also a fantastic album but one I really need to want to hear in order to put on. I was listening to it the other day and I was just blown away by how diverse it was. No popular band today is making an album that would feature something as varied as "Zero" and "Tonight Tonight". Really a great album.

Really a great album. I have a feeling that's what I loved about it...and also what shaped my musical tastes for today as well...i tend to listen to a wide array of genres now...and I listened to that/(those CD's) so much and just straight through w/o skipping tracks...just must have bolted something down in my head

casey
First of all, In Utero blows Nevermind out of the water. Second, are we talking indie alternative ie: Pavement, Archers, etc.? If so, too many to count. If not, I'd like to nominate STP: Tiny Music, Songs from the vatican Gift Shop as an unsung hero. Also Blind Melon-Soup.
