Guest falloutcollapse
A Chipotle opens in my surrounding area tomorrow! I'm so stoked for this, because nothing cool ever happens around here. We have the first Chipotle to be run by wind power. It also has a rain basin and asphalt that reflects sunlight instead of absorbs it. Tomorrow, they're giving away free burritos! My friend Andrew and I are calling eachother out of school so we can go during lunch. For anyone in the Northern Illinois area, it is the location at Gurnee Mills mall, next to the Toys R Us. It's the only building with a windmill.

allagespete
I go to college out in Naperville, so it would not be economically viable to drive an hour north for a burrito that would have cost me $6 and a one block walk. Have fun though!
enjoyadrian
those burritos are awesomely good. too bad theyre really bad for you.
goraiders
I don't really get the appeal of chipotle, although i do like the corn salsa. It might just be living around a ton of real mexican places though.

swank
They just recently opened a Chipole around me, and had a similar Free Burrito day. I was unfamiliar with their menu, so I just approximated what I get at my usual Burrito joint, who I imagine stay truer to traditional mexican style. It was lackluster, but the staff at the new location was curious to gleam reactions from their first customers, so they had people asking everyone how they enjoyed it, and when they came around to our table, I was honest with a resounding "meh, it was alright". The guy didn't seem too happy with that reaction, and gave me a coupon for yet another free meal, to "give it another try". I tried the tacos next time I was in, about a month later and they were better. So, act nonchalant and unimpressed and you might get TWO free meals. It worked for me! adamlikesmusic
It's not bad. I haven't been in well over a year, though. They have those chips with a hint of lime, yeah? Those were decent.

AlexH.
I fucking love Chipotle, but likely because I don't know of any good real Mexican places. Anyone have a recommendation for the Twin Cities?

jaaake
Chipotle is so good. Better than Moes and On the Border which are meh. But f you live in AZ, it's all about Filaburtos.

benchwarmer
I like them because they have a vegetarian option, and they're the only burrito place close to my apartment (other than baja fresh and qdoba which both suck my ass)
kgry
You mean a free heart attack? I love how everyone thinks Chipotle is healthy. It's owned by McDonalds....enough said.
biggiesized
There is a place in Denver called Illegal Pete's. I highly suggest checking it out if you ever come to Colorado. It's like Chipotle, but the food seems to be fresher and there is a bar. Now I want a chicken fajita burrito smothered in queso with a cold beer. Qdoba is better than Chipotle in my opinion, and Moe's is soo good. Also if you are ever in Texas go to Freebirds, its the best!
kirbypuckett
Moe's sucks. Their burritos are on par w/ Taco Bells.
