I'm sure I obscured the surface by adding the crushed red pepper flakes and oregano. The vegan cheese was a bit oily which may be what you're seeing? Oddly it was the best slice of the day with a really greasy New Jersey feel to it. We liked it so much that we were sorta bummed with the pizza we got at Ian's (last pizza pic) in comparison which is why we went back to Piehole for more slices almost immediately after.
