wannabepunktony
I've tried a couple things and was never really happy with how they turned out - any suggestions?
jhulud
What have you tried already?
Snaggle Von Swift
google docs, use open office or excel to create and update, and then upload in docs
adamlikesmusic
I prefer websites over spreadsheets, so you can actually search through other people's lists. It's a lot easier to make trades. I use HowsYourEdge.com
mcm1610
One of those websites for listing is seriously straight-up awful, though. I think the one I'm t hinking of is actually HYE... I like my columns to line up and look presentable, that site just looks like someone typed a giant list in Word and copy-and-pasted it to a website. wannabepunktony
Dead Format and a couple other sites I can't remember now. I tried Google Spreadsheets, and it worked okay, but I guess I should have said I'm wondering if there is something out there a little less freehand than that. I'm just looking for something nice to link to in my sig.

Exactly, I'd love to find something like that, because I can do a better job of that with Google Spreadsheets, but if possible, I'd like to find something a little better. jhulud
I use Google Docs and DF...my main one is google though. If and when I update that, I just copy and paste the excel sheet and update DF at that point.

geezfools
www.checkmyvinyl.com works Im on dialup so I've avoided adding to my list, so I use deadformat right now, but checkmyvinyl is pretty legit
wannabepunktony
I think Google might just be what I use. You know, I think there's some money to made in making a high quality vinyl collection site - too bad I can't code or have the money to pay someone to make a super fancy one. Hell - a Goozex.com for vinyl, if done right, would make someone a small fortune for sure. Thanks for the suggestions and opinions guys. lostatsea
i had a dead format then I deleted it by accident. still have an account but not i use google docs. I like that you can link pics of your person records..even though I have been to lazy to do that for the most part

If and when I update that, I just copy and paste the excel sheet and update DF at that point. This is exactly what I do.

monk0nuggets
If deadformat would ever get their shit together, it could be pretty handy I think.
cosmonaut
I like the spreadsheet format, so I use Google docs. I agree with whoever said that HYE looks like crap when lists are compiled.
travis
www.checkmyvinyl.com Love that site. I like how you can upload a pic for every record if you want.
mcm1610
I just looked at DF and it's got that same issue.. the data is all there fine, but there's no official columns so it looks sloppy to me. Outside of fully-customizable Google Docs, I'd go with Record Nerd first and Check My Vinyl next.
deadformat
Go ahead and voice your thoughts/opinions on features for DF tradelists and features here http://deadformat.uservoice.com/
monstercody
How's Your Edge. YOU choose your format and how you want your list to look. I created a text document with the groupings I like. The columns and what I choose to comment on are my own. Copy and paste the entire text doc when you update. No sweat. Recordnerd is the worst. No freedom whatsoever. Jamming all your comments into small columns sucks.
xlovecolouredx
only dead format and i didn't finish the list. because i'm lazy to do it....
