Snaggle Von Swift
it was amazing. and that's coming from someone who doesn't care about wresting at all and i'll agree, really depressing.
brady
I really do need to see this, unfortunatley I don't feel like going to Chicago to see it.
swank
Saw it over the weekend. Totally great. Although, one negative byproduct of this fantastic film is Micky Rourke getting too big for his britches and now apparently claiming to be "uninterested" in reprising Marv, the role that brought him back to popularity, in a Sin City sequel. controlthebleeding
seriously, I don't care how old Marisa Tomei is, wow. No shit. i totally would hit that... mainly because I've always had a crush on her since i use to watch "a different world" yes, i watched spin offs of the cosby's....sue me.. lol I loved this movie, as depressing as it was (as it kinda described Rourkes life as well to a point). i'm not gonna go into details of the movie, but fuck, i was impressed beyond belief. I hadn't seen a movie that surpassed my expectations since Buffalo 66. I love the aspect of shooting in 16mm for color washouts and the fact that the film gave you a sense of actually feeling boxed into the screen. FUck i need watch this movie again....and then barfly for added measure so i know how much of a bad ass Rourke is...lol
monk0nuggets
and i'll agree, really depressing. I don't think Aronofsky can make a film that isn't depressing, and that's the way I like it.
xgrantx
seriously, I don't care how old Marisa Tomei is, wow. no kidding. she was the best part of before the devil knows your dead.Anybody else see Let the Right One In. monk0nuggets
ugh. It is totally depressing to me that I can't see this until the 16th when there are so many cities where this is playing RIGHT NOW.

skumbucket
Anybody else see Let the Right One In. Its a vampire movie but really good. shit was incredible. one of my favourite movies of the year. the understated tone that accompanied the violence fit the rest of the movie so well. it was shocking and amazing. scottheisel
So bummed. The lady and I went out to see this in Chicago on New Year Day, got to the theater 40 minutes early and the show was already sold out. We went to see Frost/Nixon instead, which was really good, but man, I want to see The Wrestler soooooooooo badly, and it's not in Cleveland yet. kirbypuckett
Frost/Nixon was solid, but The Wrestler is way better.

podface
and i'll agree, really depressing. I don't think Aronofsky can make a film that isn't depressing, and that's the way I like it. Pi wasn't too depressing. I haven't seen it in years but I'm pretty sure it had a happy ending. Well maybe not happy, but no limbs were amputated. So that's a plus. monk0nuggets
Pi was definitely his least depressing, but it was still slightly depressing.
dante3000
WHUAT?! Pi? The Movie where ***SPOILER ALERT*** The dude takes a drill to his head? Yeah, feel good film of the summer. The Fountain dudes, least depressing.
monk0nuggets
Pi doesn't have an overall feeling of complete emotional breakdown like the Fountain does though. The first time I saw it (the fountain) I was on the verge of crying the whole time.
dynamitekid
i don't know how aronofsky can film these movies. He must be very depressed all the time.
