Guest vito
The new DF seems very copy/paste friendly. It took me about 5 minutes to convert my list over. Would've taken less but I accidently put everything as 7". Agreed. And come on guys, it's been up for 3 days, give Nick some time to get the kinks out. He's got some good ideas. rtw88
so it looks like i need to migrate from recordnerd to dead format, huh?let me ask you though -is this a brand loyalty thing or is DF actually a good idea? i mean, they haven't been around for that long -in that time, how reliable have they proven themselves to be? do you think they're in it for the longhaul? this is serious shit -i gotta know if i'm gonna make a commitment. DF is infinitely better than recordnerd. I had a recordnerd for a long time, and it was so glitchy. There were some records that it wouldn't let me add for random reason like various apostrophes and whatnot. If I recall correctly, recordnerd would randomly go down for a few days at a time with no explanation. Also, on deadformat, I actually just scored a major want of mine just by having it in my wants list and someone searching it and PMing me. On recordnerd, all I ever got were lowball offers on the same couple of records. DF also has a messaging system that is conducive to making deals. suicidemachine
I use Google Docs just because I originally had my list as an excel spreadsheet on my computer and this was an easy way to upload the whole thing.

I wanted something clean, but somewhat interactive (you can click on what you want to see in my collection at the top). something different. Guest duhpunk
The one thing I don't like about google docs is that (as far as I know), you can't search them, if you were trying to find someone who has a particular record you want.

scottheisel
I like Recordnerd for its simplicity. I don't need any bells and whistles.

Probably not, Virgil has already renewed the domain after I've asked him a couple times about buying it so it's not really too important anymore. And thanks so much to everyone who's chosen DF over other sites. I'm doing my best to constantly make improvements and I always welcome feedback, positive or negative.
