gravitylovesdrunks
we all do it. i just did it. but the more i think about it, the cooler i am with it. i won a dinosaur jr 7" from before they had the jr (it's the repulsion 7"). i got it for $6.65 before shipping, which is pretty good, but i hope the dude doesn't give me the shaft on shipping. i bid on this because i'm waiting for a 7" that i really want from one of his auctions, thought i'd combine the shipz. your stories plz. adamlikesmusic
I don't believe I've ever bid on something impulsively. Have bid on things that I unknowingly already owned, though.
gravitylovesdrunks
ahahah. considerably more useless. thankfully whenever i impulse bid & win it's still a good item, just not at the most ideal price. i bid on cross my heart- s/t when i was high and paid like 21 bucks after shipping. UTI + ebay= no good.
scottheisel
Have bid on things that I unknowingly already owned, though. I have also done this before. So glad I have my entire collection cataloged and in the same place as me now, because this happened far too often a few years back.
thrillho
did it one time: got the Bled's first EP (single sided) on BIN. Didn't even look too long at the listing. Just bought. It's a good item, but i wish I had taken more time and thought about it. hopefully will never do it again, but who knows. vinyl is my crack. heavyheavylowlow
I do it all the time, usually with hardcore bands I'm not really into, but they sort of go with whatever I'm buying.
riddle350
my friend gets drunk and does this. He once bought a sega master system just for the fuck of it.

counterfiction
i've bought some cheap 7"s off of eBay like this. usually doubles which is weird.
twelvetwenty
Sometimes I get crazy... I bid on one of the Fat Club 7's a while back that I kind of wanted and thought I'd get it for cheap. In the last minute I started to have a bidding war with someone and won it for what I thought was way too much money. More money than I would've originally paid for it. A big thing that I hate about ebay is that sometimes it feels like a contest of who can guess the higher number and I can always guess a higher number. mcm1610
It's a contest for the lowest-highest number. I bought something I had already ordered, but I can't think of what it was for the life of me right now. The first one hadn't shipped yet, so I could cancel, but I ended up paying an extra 8ish dollars because I'm an idiot. This site spawns a lot of "yea! I should get that!" thinking for me, but I often catch myself before I check out or finalize the bid. "Do you really like that band?" Usually it's yea, but not THAT much. bouncingsoles123
I start bidding on things and always set my limit and always end up going over it. Did it with Ergs Upstairs/Downstairs on Gold and AOTU Season 2. I don't do much ebay shopping now that I'm broke.
dynamitekid
I impulsively bid on an auction for both PIB's CVA and Paradise. I ended up winning it for the same price as Paradise goes for on ebay.
heavyheavylowlow
If there's ever any Daughters records up I always go bat shit crazy bidding on them, even if I already have them, it's a sickness
timpopkid
UTI + ebay= no good. I'm sorry that your Urinary Tract Infection makes you spend money foolishly on Ebay.
mrc
I don't believe I've ever bid on something impulsively. Have bid on things that I unknowingly already owned, though. Havent done this with ebay, but have ordered shit from distros and realized i already had it. its happened about 4 or 5 times. Most of the time it was before i kept a list but even after i made my list i traded for a screeching weasel 7" that i already owned. Im still confused on how i got my 1st copy... still to this day have no idea where it came from.
decibel120
I bought 7 Journey records today with a impulse Buy It Now. NO REGRETS! Don't stop believin' in Steve Perry! (it even had his solo LP... So I had to)
