kirbypuckett
I haven't heard anything about this movie yet. Has anyone seen it yet? Is it any good? How does it compare to Guy Ritchie's other films?
xadamhudsonx
I saw it last night. cons- It runs a little long, dragging just a little bit in the middle. Some of the visual effects didn't seem all that great, and some obvious green screen work on a few scenes. pros- I really dug the story line. I thought RDJr did a great job with the character. Guy Richie did a great job not making it "another guy richie movie" but still keeping his cool style about it. I liked the way he got into Holmes' head when he's working out a problem, how to take out a badguy, how something was done. Definitely a Guy Richie style to those particular scenes. Overall it's worth the ticket price.
zac
I actually really liked it. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law made the movie. I'd also definitely go see the sequels they will come out with.
controlthebleeding
I liked it as well. And i'm pretty cynical about movies. i totally agree with adam about everything. great acting amongst the cast.
voodooman595
Rachel McAdams. Enough said. And it's been reported that Jude Law and Robert Downey, Jr. have signed on for a sequel, with talks of Brad Pitt reuniting with Richie as the villain. monk0nuggets
I saw it the other day. It was good, but not great. Entertaining. The storyline and acting were definitely the highlights.
kittenmittons
I hate the theater but we got some amc gift cards for christmas and we're considering going to see this or avatar...with the inlaws ughh. anyone seen both? what would you choose? i think i'd rather see sherlock holmes but that's just because I don't get a boner for cgi. monk0nuggets
I've seen both. I say Sherlock has a better story line, but Avatar is much more fun to watch, visually. They are equals as far as quality goes. It just depends on what kind of movie you'd rather see I guess!
skanknsmile
There was one moment where Rachel McAdams ass was fucking perfect. I think it was when the building was blowing up and she was running away, either way, THAT was worth the ticket price. Plus, it was an entertaining flick
lokithelion
Rachel McAdams is totally wasted in the movie. That being said its probably the truest to character of any of the adaptations thus far even if the ending is a bit over the top. The slow motion effects used to illustrate his thought process is awesome and they nail the style of fighting he uses as described in the books. murakami
i liked it a lot but was super tired and actually fell asleep for about 10 minutes in the middle [woke up right at the end of the fight scene with the big dude]. agree with the previous comments of it being worth the $
wakeupandlive
i thought it was really good. i'm not usually into movies like that, but i enjoyed it.
adamlikesmusic
It was good, though it was a bit long. There was only one thing I really didn't like about it, though it's minor, so I won't go into it here. (Can be seen as a spoiler)
simonf
I was surprisingly entertained. Robert Downey Jr & Jude Laws' partnership definitely makes the film. Looking forward to a sequel.

monk0nuggets
loki, you are right about the combat thought process. That was awesome, even though I didn't read the books. Very cool stuff.
rockstar71888
I really enjoyed it actually. I won't try to spoil any details, but knowing the ending can someone answer me, how was he able to put out all of the candles in the room?
