mediocore
Congrats! Home warranties can rule if its a bit older. It's only 3 years old, but the seller threw in a one-year warranty, so we're covered for at least a little bit.

destroyingthescene
Nice! What kind of abode is it? I'm hoping to do that in the next year or two, but since the average price for a home here is around $700K, I'll probably settle for a tiny apartment. It's around 2,500 sq. ft. (3 bdrm, a loft, an office, 2.5 bath) spread over two stories with a big goddamn yard (too big really... gonna suck to maintain, but my daughter will dig it when she's older). Lots of upgrades too (hardwood floors, granite counter tops, etc.). I feel you on the price thing -- shit's been so much more affordable since we moved out of California. mediocore
haha i bought a house without a job too... and everyone wonders why the economy collapsed congrats! Hahaha! Luckily we put 20% down and can afford our mortgage payment (which is cheaper than our rent in CA), so we should be fine.
