rockstar71888
I've never gotten a call from them, but they are very quick when it comes to getting your stuff sent out, and always respond to e-mails. No gripes at all. But since BTBAM is no longer on their label, and pretty much every other release I ever liked is on vinyl now, it's a longshot I'll ever order anything from them again. kurtz
I have not ordered from Victory since the 90's. They never called me back then.
pastepunk
They've long been known for being on top of their merch, online ordering, etc. operations, and take a lot of pride in this area. On the press side of things, they have been by far one of the easiest labels to work with and know how to do their jobs.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
Fast as shit. Super helpful when I call them up.
forgeagain
They have plenty of kids working there for free. I see no reason they couldn't get orders/press inquiries/etc. turned around instantly. Gotta do something with all that time and labor.

Gotta do something with all that time and labor. I know you're being sarcastic, but is it any different than say an unpaid law clerk internship (I know you're a lawyer as well) that could lead to better job prospects down the road? I definitely paid my dues in that arena...

bruiser873
Wow, a label that ships out stuff right away? I really have no idea what thats like.
forgeagain
I actually wasn't even being sarcastic. I don't object to the model of having unpaid interns, though most law clerks are actually paid. Then again, in this economy, all the firms are taking advantage of the fact that the job market is awful and not paying their lowly interns. oakland
They've long been known for being on top of their merch, online ordering, etc. operations, and take a lot of pride in this area. On the press side of things, they have been by far one of the easiest labels to work with and know how to do their jobs. I can attest to this as well. I've dealt with Victory's press people since the early '90s and they have always been wonderful. Once I called one of their press people for something and someone new was working there. He apologized for whatever it was that I wanted and didn't have, then told me there was a note in their computer system that said "Give Oakland anything he asks for." I'd say that's pretty good service. I've heard all the stories about bands and their troubles with Tony, but my personal experience with the press side, which has been extensive, is great. I'll never forget the day one of their press people called me in tears to tell me Raybeez had died.
