griftors18 Posted July 8, 2010 Share Posted July 8, 2010 I messaged Triple Crown Records in a long shot effort to license The Receiving End Of Sirens - Between the Heart and the Synapse and it's a already in the works. Supposedly the art was approved on Tuesday and it's going to be a special Triple Crown release. I am very excited. There's no time frame though so this might not happen for a while. Part of the art of writing an album is keeping it as condensed as it needs to be. I have no idea where I read it, but I remember reading a quote from some singer saying "if a song is 4+ minutes long, it had better damn well HAVE to be 4+ minutes long." While colors do look cool sometimes (that Boxcar Racer red and black looks pretty sweet, as does that record in the test press whatever thread someone just made), I think the novelty has worn off, and I wish records got back to being more about the music on them than the vinyl it's on.
