so instead of one awesome song maybe we'll get three. no hope for weezer to get better even with this move

even if they've been hoarding good to great songs over the years, which has been the general rumor forever, they still have put out far too much garbage to be let off the hook easily.

I think this is a good move I feel that last 3 albums (make believe red and ratitude) sucked because they hated being on a Geffin and they were pressured to play a certain way so they made albums they could care less about just to run out the contract. I think moving to Epitaph is a great move and gives them the opportunity to go back to there roots and put out an awesome album the one we have all been waiting for since the green album. I guess it could go either way but I am looking foward to see how this pans out.

this is exactly right. after pinkerton, they're sales slumped, fans were not happy with the more emotionally driven darker music. they wanted another happy blue album, so from then on, that's what they got. he even said it himself. everyone wanted the happy bubble-gum pop and that's what he's been giving them since then. Let's see if he actually is up to changing it up a bit now.

I think the only song I heard from Ratitude was the "If You're Wondering What I'm Wondering" (or whatever it was called) single, which I thought was a pretty catchy song. I don't know why people didn't like it, it had somewhat of an old Weezer feel to it. Was the rest of the record like that or not? Kinda feel like they are just pushing out songs (but maybe the last 2 records were just to get out of their contract) cause 3 records in 2 years is a lot of a band like them.

That was pretty much the only song on the record worth listening to.

Also, Green Album still rules. People shouldn't lump it in with the newer stuff.
