goraiders
every fucking person in the bay area has decided they're a giants fan in the last week. and they keep saying "oh we're just misfits with no stars"... except the guy who won the cy young the last two years, the batting champ two years ago, the saves leader, potentially the rookie of the year... mayoroftelevision
i'm more happy about the rangers not winning. because it means the astros still aren't the oldest franchise never to win. the rangers hold that honor by a single year. tooclosetosee
Reasons why I am happy San Francisco won... 1. I am a big Tim Lincecum fan (I even went to two Cards/Giants games this summer in hopes of seeing him pitch) 2. I am a fan of Brian Wilson 3. I am a fan of Buster Posey 4. I loved watching George Bush sit uncomfortably as the Rangers lost 5. I have family in San Fran and going to a Giants game is high on my list. 6. They are my favorite team in the NL West. 7. I like the NL over the AL. Reasons why I wanted the Rangers to win... 1. I like Josh Hamilton 2. I like Bengie Molina So you can see I was pretty happy with the outcome. forgeagain
10th highest payroll in the MLB for one of the worst offenses. But hey, they got it done when it mattered, so good for them.
goraiders
i wish they won it in sf though, because it would've been so pretty on tv.

mayoroftelevision
Reasons why I am happy San Francisco won...4. I loved watching George Bush sit uncomfortably as the Rangers lost for me it was the man sitting next to him. i knew when nolan ryan bought the team he was going to steal the aaa team that is here in austin away from the astros because his family owns them. it happened and now i don't see any reason to go watch them again since they aren't the astros' team anymore. almost pisses me off as much as him going in the hall of fame as a ranger. the astros still don't have anyone in the hall of fame, well they will in a couple of years when biggio gets in. 311thrice
I'm happy for the Giants. They deserve it. They outplayed the Rangers in every way and their pitching was scary good. Any World Series is a good one as long as the Yanks don't win it. It was nice to see 2 new teams in it.
