AlexH.
Battles - Mirrored It took maybe 10 listens of the whole album for me to get into it.
scottheisel
The Hold Steady - Boys And Girls In America I loved Separation Sunday but BAGIA just didn't do it for me at first -- I listened to it over and over in my car, and then one day, driving around with the windows down, crisp autumn air blowing in, driving through a particularly blue-collar part of Cleveland, the whole damn record just made perfect sense. Now it's my favorite Hold Steady record by far, and definitely up there in the all-time faves.
mrc
as friends rust - won most of the strokes albums. i didnt hate them but it took until their last album to start to get into them. Im not on a love level but i dig them nowadays

punker32
Blood Brothers "burn piano island burn"...I couldn't figure out why my girlfriend kept listening to them. I thought they were so annoying. A week later I couldn't get enough.
Guest scriptedrain
Yeah, The Blood Brothers seems to be a common band where it goes from "what the fuck is this?" to "holy fuck, this is awesome" in time.
dante3000
True story. Minor Threat - discography. I could not (for the life of me) understand why anyone likes this band. I do however love them now.
