mcpherson123
^Fuck yes! You and Coma know whats up! I think I'm gonna rock this motherfucker on the way to Reckless to pic up my shit in a few.
rockstar71888
Well, I loved What It Is to Burn, and I voted no.Why? Because I really just didn't like that album. Would rather see WIITB repressed properly. my thoughts exactly. WIITB has been toward the top of my want list, just don't want it quite enough to pay what it goes for. bobert612
i would like to see WIITB repressed improperly so i could read about everyones problems with that on here too.
Japes
I wouldn't care because I already have an improperly pressed WIITB.
garpo3000
I'd buy it if it were pressed. Have WIITB already.
llamason56
I'd buy it. Love all of their stuff really. I had won a copy of What It Is... but never got it because it was "lost in a house fire" but did get the 35 bucks I had spent on it back
andrewlucas
SHTS is the sophomore "blow your first album away and all but forget about it" album. Easily superior to any of their other work. This NEEDS to be pressed on translucent yellow vinyl. Stat!I can live without a vinyl copy of WIITB but I CAN'T live without one of Sunshine. Its like they took all the heaviest and best elements of Faith No More and Glassjaw and spinkled on a dash of classic Dillinger Escape Plan ("The Casket Of Roderick Usher") and made one of the best heavy albums of 2005. How does this have 31 "No" votes? backed! EXACTLY!! I think alot of the people who are voting are people who dont even like finch. I dont see how you could not like say hello. especially if you are a finch fan. ive gotten alot of negative karma for posting this. but i dont see why. i think this album should really be pressed. and yellow sounds perfect. deafmx
I think it was a weak album, then and now. I also didn't really care for their last EP very much. i've tried to like them both but I feel like the first EP and WIITB are my favorites and i prefer them stylistically more than SHTS. that said, I'd probably still buy it on vinyl if it actually came out. I still voted no, however.
harryq
if nothing else, this thread will make me listen to their albums for the first time in a few years

Its such an amazing blend of heavy and at times jazzy styles.
robobob
Sorry, Say hello to sunshine was better than what it is to burn. It was dark, melodic, catchy, and a risky move on the bands part. A more mature effort, albeit quite different than the previous releases. Here's my vote, Haters.

Actually I remember seeing a bunch of pansy ass kids crying and whining on Finch's myspace comments about how the new album was so wrong and not Finch. One kid posted the WIITB video and said some cunty shit like "if it weren't for this, (referring to old Finch material) what would we have?? :'( :'( :'( :'(" because it was so horrible that Finch grew bigger balls and made an aggressive and hard record. I totally resented those little bitches. lol
IanRees
Say Hello To Sunshine was a album that was perfect for them from the point that it showed each of their individual musical influences. What It Is To Burn (albeit a great album) was the album that Drive-Thru wanted them to make.
harryq
if nothing else, this thread will make me listen to their albums for the first time in a few years after listening to this album for the first time in a few years, I like it a lot more than I thought I did... I'd buy it on vinyl (though I'd probably buy a lot of albums I used to like for nostalgia purposes--regardless of whether or not I still like them--if the price is right)
lastdeclarations
Awesome, disgustingly underrated album. I wish they were still together.
Shitty Rambo
I remember seeing Finch at the Glasshouse at the cusp of this album's release and they would begin to play old songs, stop, than play a new song. I thought that was very rock n roll of them and was super into the new material. The scene kids were livid.
llamason56
How can anyone say bite marks & bloodstains isn't a badass song? It's so fucking good as is the majority of sunshine. I actually don't think either album is perfect. What it is has a fatty mid section that weighs the album down and some of the vocals are a bit too odd on sunshine so to each their own I guess. I'd buy both. I think the newest EP was a great blending of both albums
mcpherson123
I think with Sunshine, they perfected what they had the potential to do as a band in my opinion. Everything before AND after pales in comparison. For me, it was light years beyond my highest expectations for them. Once I downloaded this album and listened to it a couple times, I ran out and bought it within a few days and before that it was non-stop on my iPod. That's how amazed I was. kidamnesiac
Highly underrated album, but not one I need to own on vinyl.
travis
Thank you! This needs to be made. The Finch EP too.TRRRRAAAAAVVVVIIIIIISSSSSSS.... haha I wouldnt touch this one. I havent listened to it since it came out but I remember thinking it was absolutely horrible. Maybe I need to go back and give it another listen? I honestly cant even remember what it sounds like. I would definitely be into a repress of WIITB tho. Loved that album. I dont think SHTS vinyl would really sell at all but I think a WIITB repress would sell pretty good.....well enough to repress anyways. Drive Thru stuff is a pain in the ass, Im not even sure who to contact about getting titles from their catalog pressed. They have quite a few things Id be interested in. Japes
Message that guy from Enjoy the Ride, he probably has the contact details. But yeah, it's probably a pain in the ass. I've heard they suck to deal with.

He's doing all the Drive Thru releases (RXB, TEN, TSL, etc). I've heard Richard is a pain to get rights from, but maybe if he knew that a major company (Hot Topic) would be handling the vinyl, he might let go of the rights to some albums. As for SHTS, I could not get into that record. I loved WIITB, though. I'd buy a repress of that in a second.
ducksworth
As one of the biggest Finch fans from their infancy, Say Hello To Sunshine is by far their best album. All their albums mean the world to me. Its sad that most people didn't give Say Hello a fair shake. I talked to Randy about putting this out a couple years ago. He was interested. I just never got it all together. Maybe its time. I don't care if I lose money on this band. I love these guys. Its crazy, but had we not met as goofy teenagers I would be living a completely different life. Through them I got an internship that led to a job that led to me meeting the girl I've now been with for 4 years. I want to put this out! Ha.
