mcm1610 Posted July 27, 2011 Share Posted July 27, 2011 I listened to part of the album on vinyl yesterday, then downloaded it and listened to the same songs on my ipod in the car, then got to work and listened to the same songs on google music. I haven't made it through the whole album yet, but... This one's different. I hope it grows on me, as it sounds like it could, but it's got the same major complaint I had against "Adults!!!" in that Jeff sounds kinda half-assed on a lot of the vocals like he's just going through the motions. It's got a very Weezer-y feel to it. I just got out of my car and have "We were good as married in my mind, but married in my mind is no good...." from Pink Triangle stuck in my head. I hated the album when I started it, got hooked in the middle and wound up loving it by the end. Then I listened to it two more times in a row. I really like this album and the change in sound is refreshing. I think it would be a letdown after a while if they just kept to the same thing.
