tarzioo_
I don't know if this was common knowledge and I'm just really late to the party, but I just found out that Rashida Jones (Ann Perkins in Parks and Rec, Karen Filippeli in The Office) is Peggy Lipton's (Norma Jennings) daughter. Now my mind is blown because now that I look at them both, they really do look a like. Also, my Twin Peaks tattoo is happening tomorrow. I'll be posting pictures as soon as I can! I did not know that!!! Both tattoos look amazing!!

soundofsilver
Just read David Lynch is stepping away from the project claiming the budget wasn't enough. The shows might still happen. He is the only one that has commented. About an hr and a half ago on his Twitter. https://mobile.twitter.com/david_lynch
tonyregret
I think this has definitely turned into a case of negotiating in public. A deal will be made, Showtime still wants this to happen as does Lynch.
Rip
This really worries me. I feel like the majority of the cast won't even want to come back if Lynch is directing.
soundofsilver
Worries me too. Wondering how far apart they were on amounts. This show is damned. Damn it
Twistedshabazz
yeah i just saw this. unfortunately a twin peaks without lynch may not be one I or many others want to see. bummer. if you wanted him to do it i dont see him asking a crazy amount of money. if that was the case it never would have happened to begin with... 3arl
It sounded like it wasn't necesarily his money that he walked over, but the money to actually produce the series
batman
They should throw this on Kickstarter. Fans would pay dirty money to make this happen right

aarondltd
Sorry if these are old news but they are free on Bandcamp and I thought some of it was decent. Relaxing and weird anyways.
Bladewillisisdead
I'm not too bummed about him leaving Twin Peaks, but I'm really bummed that I won't get to see something new that he's directed. Dude needs to make something besides coffee, music, and odd music videos.

Guest
I have zero intention to watch this if Lynch isn't connected.
aarondltd
Yeah what's the point if he doesn't do it. I could do without him staring in it, but hearing aids are better now right?
Bladewillisisdead
To be fair he was gone for most of the 2nd season. I mean they were by far the worst episodes, but he has a history of walking from the show when the network won't let him do things the way he wants. daegor
I think this has definitely turned into a case of negotiating in public. A deal will be made, Showtime still wants this to happen as does Lynch. Exactly what I thought. I can't image anyone is really interested in this continuing without him, and to a lesser extent without much of the original cast (who will likely walk without him)
aarondltd
I thought this was a done deal with the teaser and everything. Oh well. This whole thing got announced when I was finally watching the series for the first time so I was looking forward to it. Not sure about the whole Lifetime thing and maybe its been too long even if Laura said "see you in 25 years". That explains the second season though. Any one read the book explaining whats been happening to everyone all this time?
THE_James_Champ
That book hasn't been released yet.
aarondltd
Oops I kind of wondered but thought it would have by now and was too lazy to look it up again.
THE_James_Champ
David Lynch is back, Twin Peaks revival is back on at Showtime. With more episodes as well, not just the nine originally promised. Pre-production begins shortly. http://www.ew.com/article/2015/05/15/david-lynch-returns-twin-peaks-reboot
aarondltd
Really wondering how they are going to jump back in after that cliff hanger. If everything was "normal" at the end it would easier.
THE_James_Champ
Pretty sure the show will touch upon what happened. The book is supposed to do that as well, kind of a bridge between the 25 year gap.
