lonesomexloveus
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kevinseconds/kevin-seconds-needs-a-tour-vanbadly these are probably some of, if not the most, ridiculous rewards/tiers ever. also, one of the most pathetic pleas for money as a result. wiggs1441
Wow. Those rewards are pretty horrible.
lonesomexloveus
$50 gets you his eternal love and thanks, a zine, some digital music emailed to you, a small original 'digital doodle art' also emailed to you, a button ANDDDDDDDD a shout out on all his social networking sites! skadaddy
Living in Sacramento, this dude opens for everyone and everything. It wouldn't surprise me if he played the grand opening of a Denny's in Midtown. You can't go to a small show in this city and NOT have Kevin Seconds on the bill. jerseydave77
My 17 year old self would have loved to spend $750 to co-write a song with Kevin Seconds. Not too many bands influenced me more than 7 Seconds. That said I lack a time machine, hate Kickstarter and that $750 is better served in my son's college fund. mrc
if this was for a 7 seconds van/tour i would throw money at him, but his solo music is rather terrible.

He references that it will not just help him, but it will help out 7Seconds a great deal because they don't have a tour van. I wonder if he threw that in there to get people to donate. xjustinxschwierx
Kevin's a really sweet guy who runs an independent coffee shop, it's not like he's rolling in dough. at least he's found some unique ways to mix things up.
lonesomexloveus
if a handful of grown men in their 40s/50s can't scrape together enough money to buy a used van, then they shouldn't be touring. my problem with 90% of the kickstarter projects: i work a job that i hate to finance my art until it becomes profitable enough to support me on its own. many, many other bands out there are doing the same. they aren't touring because they can't afford it. at least some kickstarters offer some good/exclusive rewards. I agree, I'm not a big kickstarter fan, but at least he's offering something kind of cool/unique ideas to offset the typical offerings. I've bought art from Kevin in the past, that's my contribution. flood
if i had $750 to burn i would total do it. i would make him do a ridiculous youth crew song about how badass my dogs are, and how he wants to walk and/rock together with them
al
Bit worried about a 50 year old man using the term "lulz". But yeah, what A-Money! said.

riddle350
I don't understand how a dude/band who has been in touring bands for the past 25+ years doesn't have a van in which to tour. That just seems backward to me. I will say that 7 Seconds was awesome when I saw them in May.
dynamitekid
Perhaps they can borrow one from Jon Benjamin. I hear that he has a van.

steventangent
Fuck all this e-begging. There are too many goddamn bands in the world. We shouldn't be subsidizing any more. I don't give a shit who they are.
