geezfools
So, if we all buy in and pick our dates, but no one guesses it, is it whoever is closest in number of days, closest without going over or closest without going under?
yocaseycasey
Just closest in general... Not like the Price is Right.

catalinacaper
Only thing I have to add is the last time we tried to do a pool via Paypal they shut down the account due to "suspected gambling" so in not sure if something similar would happen here. yocaseycasey
Oh dang. Well if anyone has any insight on this "suspected gambling" problem, please advise!

yocaseycasey
I'm thinking snail mail might be an option. That way, the winner would receive an envelope FULL of ONE DOLLAR BILLS. Anyone object to this potential idea?
onlettingjoe
we can all mail it to you then you can paypal the winner. probably safer than mailing twenty five dollar bills. just an idea.

jeremybentham
I'm sure if we all paid 1 person, and they opened a separate Paypal acct, and let the $$$ sit, there would be no problem. I suspect when Paypal sees a new account with 25 $1 payments, THAT is the red flag.

yocaseycasey
I'd like to mail you an English pound. Do it. This pool will be juicy. I am thinking that I'll start sending those who expressed interest my mailing address and instructions. Basically, send a dollar with a note including your selected date and VC screen name. I'll update the original post with the user names and selected dates chosen. Once I've received all entries, someone can quote the original post for truth and we'll play the waiting game (like we have been since July).
