shenanigans
let the discussion begin We are really stoked to announce that The Bouncing Souls’ album entitled COMET will be hitting the virtual and actual stores worldwide on June 12, 2012! Not only that, but we are extremely proud that we are co-releasing this much-anticipated album with the very great people at RISE RECORDS and our very own CHUNKSAAH RECORDS. It’s always nice to meet and work with new people who rule, and rule they do. The good people of Rise Records even sent us a box of donuts from VooDoo Donut in Portland in the mail! First single is on youtube here I need to find a computer with speakers

GradedOnACurve
I actually like the album art. Not too surprised to find out that Rise now had a hand in this. Rise is officially the new Epitaph. Can't wait for this!
mclz
They played like 4 of these new songs at the HFTH shows. They all weren't bad, but it didn't sound like the Bouncing Souls.
jerseydave77
Ugh, I hate when bands I like sign to Rise at this point. The package deals are so damn annoying.
mclz
I'm sure there is gonna be a Chunksaah exclusive, just like No Idea with HWM.
oterecords
i feel like that song seems like it should be a bad religion song more than a bouncing souls one. not bad i agree, it just doesn't sound like the souls.
runforcover
That song sucks...
tittus
i feel like that song seems like it should be a bad religion song more than a bouncing souls one. Agreed 100%. Not feeling this at all. Lacking the feel good Souls touch.

hickey
Boy, the Bouncing Souls have gotten embarrassing. Fixed
Guest
Yeah, they started losing me after Hopeless Romantic and officially lost me after Summer Vacation. Still, the Halloween set at Fest 7 where they only played stuff off the first two records was the shit.
shenanigans
gonna go ahead and get the black. super glad they didn't do 1000 packages like they did for HWM
shenanigans
p.s. wtf is that tshirt?
xjustinxschwierx
How I Spent My Summer Vacation is one of my favorite records they've done. After that is where they lost me.
GradedOnACurve
I loved everything up until Anchors Aweigh...not crazy bout the Gold Record but did like Ghosts on The Boardwalk with the exception of 4 songs. Still one of my favorite bands though.
hickey
The Good, The Bad and The Argyle and Maniacal Laughter came out when I was in college...and I was hooked. I hated Hopeless Romantic. I really like How I Spent My Summer Vacation and about half of Anchors Aweigh...after that they've been really boring. Every album has a great song or two, but the rest is crap. kyacrash
every bouncing souls thread has debates about which album is their best, and I always find it interesting how broad the spectrum is. I'm pretty sure the answer is this: your 3 favorite bouncing souls albums are 1) the album you heard first, and 2)the album that came out prior to #1, and 3) the album that came out after #1. every souls fan will continue to say that the rest of their music sucks, but they are still one of their favorite bands. I am no different to the rule as my favorites are maniacal laugher, s/t, and hopeless romantic. go figure.
regan138
that's it? that's the BIG partnership with Rise Records? BLACK 180g is the best they can do? C'mon. Man I really really really hope this album kicks my teeth in. but yeah i am happy they didn't post a million "bundles".....jeez.
bluedeni
I am souls fan and I love the last few things they have done. I have been a fan since high school back in 91. They are just one of those bands that to me can do no wrong. I think most people have a band like that. I guess it helps that I also grew up in New Jersey.
