Mainly because Target gives tons of their leftovers to the local Goodwill, and I bought two pairs of each color in my size for $4 each. I know the exact print pattern you're talking about. A kid I went to high school with wore them every day in all kinds of colors, but that same psyched out pattern. He was teased often.
