The Butcha
I went to New Orleans when I was in 7th or 8th grade. My main memory is a creepy guy taking pictures of the topless photos of strippers outside the strip clubs on Bourbon st. This was early internet days, so must have been hard to get his porn. This is probably happening right now too.

Guest
I also remember being able to navigate my way through the French Quarter and getting us back to our hotel, when my friend's parents kept getting lost.

Oh the French Quarter...one too many drunken high school nights spent down there.
Guest
I bet, certainly seems like it would have been a lot more fun of a place if I could drink. Now, do I order a copy of Whirr's Distressor off discogs, or wait for the supposed repress Graveface is working on according to their email. So many other wants in my list I should hit first, but I did already order it...

They're cheap, and support your local shop while you're at it.
DarcX
What venues are still going out there? Iv been gone a year but I feel like everything has changed. Nothing beats New Orleans when I was in high school dude. The music scene was alive and well. In Metairie? Not even The High Ground's around anymore. Basically no concerts for Metairie. New Orleans still has great venues though. Gasa Gasa, Siberia, House of Blues, One-Eyed Jacks, The Howlin' Wolf, there's a relatively new one I think called The Republic. The local scene is pretty healthy, I'd say. But tours still rarely come here for some reason. I never lived in New Orleans, so I don't know it that well. Guest
Whirr sucks. I like Sway and the Distressor EP. I'll probably hold off and grab something else. Not sure if I like it enough to own it on vinyl.

Do they over charge for shipping? Edit: $27.99? Are all the variants so expensive?

And my bands played there allllll the fuckingggg timeeee. The Republic has been around for a while. I saw explosions in the sky there when i was in high school and smoked weed at a show for the first time. Haha.

The Butcha
Fuck it, ordered. Ah yeah, they are all the same price. It's the 'deluxe' packaging and what not. The purple is gorgeous too. I knew a few would pop back up in the hello merch store eventually.

Just saw your edit. Best solution for sure. Going record shopping tomorrow. Checking out all the stores here and out in Kent. Hoping to find some Cure records, or anything else on my want list. Will keep an eye out for stuff for others if they want. I'll probably be hitting up 10 or so stores.

Which is right by the landmark off of severn in metairie. He took over The High Ground and ran it into the ground. Back in my day it was just called Cypress Hall. We got all the good shows. I miss those days. I was part of the crew that redid that place after Katrina. It was the most disgusting fucking thing ever. Theres a short documentary floating around somewhere on the internet called Head For The High Ground. You see my 16-17 year old self gutting that place out haha. Those were better days. DarcX
Too anxious for Ibuprofen? Can't take Ibuprofen 'cause of this stomach medicine I'm taking. Acetaminophen should do the trick, but this headache is giving me anxiety, and it's hard for me to swallow pills like this. :| Ah yeah, this guy Tony used to run a venue called Keystones. That's interesting! I knew it was something before The High Ground but I couldn't remember. When Katrina hit I was only 10 so I wasn't much of a concert-goer at the time.
