jerseydave77
You know why we can't have good things on VC? It's because a freaking Blink repress gets 9 pages in one day yet a damn good HC album gets nothing. Two listens in and this is a damn fine LP. nothingnatural

It's all I've listened to for the last few days. I read a quote, I think it was from Rev, saying that they expect to sell more than Start Today. jerseydave77
I'll believe that when I see it man. Start Today has sold over 100,000 copies on CD alone. Not sure of vinyl but that is a lot of records. I wish Rev the best so I hope it happens.
jerseydave77
going to be hard since its not even up for order on revhq site right now! The CD and Cassette still are. Those will still make up the bulk of sales for this one.
bigbruise
going to be hard since its not even up for order on revhq site right now! Really, today or maybe yesterday I saw the black and gold still up.
jerseydave77
First press was something like 2000 on vinyl to start. You knew it wasn't going to last too long. I'm curious how many cassettes they pressed - I'm guessing 1000.
jerseydave77
Also, I think I'll keep rambling on this thread tomorrow to keep it above Blink.
jerseydave77
Also, speaking of Rev, todays scores: Inside Out 7" on blue vinyl and, while not Rev exactly this is now the gem of my collection: Token Entry "Jaybird" Test Press

I figured they upped the number since they were available so long, and still are.
jhook
I am still waiting on mine. Hopefully it comes today. I don't think it will sell more copies than Start Today that record is a classic masterpiece plus less people will buy this and just steal it from the internet. Dave- Inside Out is one of the most underrated Rev. bands ever. The old video of them playing at The Rat in Boston makes me want to mosh a hole into the wall of my house. The reunion video also makes me want to lose my shit. Great great band.
problemchild
More than Start Today? Nah, I definitely don't see that happening. Although I'm sure Rival Mob will be looked back on as a classic hardcore band 20 years from now...
jerseydave77
Why won't Lockin Out repress the 1st LP?
bigbruise
Why won't Lockin Out repress the 1st LP? Very good question, Raw Life is the shit. I have had two downloaded versions of this, I deleted the first one because I thought it sounded like shit...the second doesn't sound much better. Can anybody with the LP chime in on it's sound? derkwithano
The address for the D.C. shop is in the liner notes. Finally spun this on vinyl...the mix sounds so good. So bummed I missed the seafoam/mint green variant but oh well. 2 golds and a cassette for me! Brendan made a joke about how this record was going to sell way more than Start Today at the record release show. It was just that...a joke. jhook
Derkwithano....What about the Boston store?
derkwithano
I googled it and came up with nothing. Must be some sort of inside joke. I'm going to ask my buddy who plays guitar for them but i feel like he won't know.
deadreckoning
The two stores are the Boston Tea Stop (in Cambridge i believe) and Joint Custody in DC (Adams Morgan). One of the owners of Joint Custody is in Give and so is Doug Free. From 6:30-7:30 tonight they will have seafoam green copies available along with t-shirts screened for the event - They made only 75 of them. These two stores are only retail places that got green copies, which has long been sold out at Rev.

monsterrod
Of someone in Boston could grab me a seafoam green, I'm good for the cash, and I'd be very appreciative.
