timbrh2001
Thanks for the VHS responses. I think the whole "Movie A doesn't even exist on the DVD format" probably can make it worth owning a VHS player.

jkelly
I have a VCR but mostly for movies not on digital formats and crap I taped off tv for the fun of old commercials. DVDs and Blurays are more worthless to me due to streaming or downloads. Like CDs I got rid of most of my DVDs.
DJ Quik
I'd buy the VHS if it was $10 or less. Hell even if it was $15 and I was feeling feisty. But $25 for a VHS? Fuck that. Biggest gimmick ever. $25 for a VHS is laughable, the random purple variant makes it more hilarious also, incase anyone is interested, eBay has variant of Timcrimes for $40, that's pretty damn good aftermarket price

When I refer to those digital formats, Im basically referring to the existing quality/technology available today. VHS is simply terrible in both the sound and video aspects. Though I could see the charm of some 70s B movie getting enhanced with the VHS experience.Only physical media I acquire these days are records. It's the only physical format that I find any interest in owning a collection of. Everything else to me is a waste of space in my home. DJ Quik
Eaten up by investors, haha. I know you're in the "too cool for variant" club, but even you can't deny $40 was a good price, I'm going to be upset when my black version shows up and I missed that

timbrh2001
well if you never wanted it then that's a different situation, but for those that want it... How much is a Poltergeist clear? I think those are also $35-40 as well since people would prefer to hang the GID variant on their wall instead? That's a good deal too. jkelly
Yeah VHS crum quality is all about the charm of nostalgia. Puppet Master and Texas Chainsaw will always be better to me on VHS.
timbrh2001
well if you never wanted it then that's a different situation, but for those that want it... I think until it sells out on Mondo's store, a $13 markup on the variant sounds about right. Anything over that and people would probably just rather buy 2 copies from Mondo instead. timbrh2001
Oblivion Clear vinyl at or near cost on aftermarket is also a great deal for variant collectors. Probably my 2nd favorite Mondo soundtrack after Drive.

jaxvinyl
Oblivion Clear vinyl at or near cost on aftermarket is also a great deal for variant collectors. This can be attributed to Mondo's experiment with selling only the variant on their site and black copies to retailers. Clearly it didn't go too well for them as they immediately went back to randomly inserted with the next release.

DJ Quik
So I've been checking the tracking number everyday and there has been no change, I come home today and there is my vinyl sitting on door step and I scored the milky yellow vinyl! Was 100% expecting black as I ordered just one copy
rooks
Ya'll are so lucky... I ordered two, but it has been processed at the same post office three times and the delivery date is still listed as the 24th. Insane. It got to that post office the same day as my Waxwork and OWS orders which both came yesterday, but this one just seems to be riding the conveyor belt round and round the Jersey city post office.
