jhulud
Anyone else notice battery life issues after the 6.1 update? It seems to have gotten shittier now. iPhone 5 here.
alogical
that's usually what happens with iOS updates. They're made to iron out certain issues like battery life, and always end up doing the opposite. I'm waiting to update until I see what happens with the current jailbreak/what the issues are with 6.
dethrock
Completely off topic, but man was iTunes 11 horrible. I had to go back to 10. tittus, nobodybrokeurheart and trevorxramage

jhulud
I still have yet to update to iTunes 11 and won't from the bad reviews of it. And yeah iOS 6.1 fucked my battery life.

Guest
the bad reviews of itunes 11 are fucking stupid. it's straight up more functional. i love it.
ruckis
I like iTunes 11. I guess I'm the only one. It took some getting used to. I noticed a small change in battery life after the iOS update. I kill batteries anyway because I'm on my phone so much. Waiting for the Mophie Juice Pack to come out for the iPhone 5. Really hoping they slimmed it down a lot from the iPhone 4 case. elgato48
Mine has been fine. Last all day with normal usage and game playing while at work. Usually around 60 percent after 8 hours. Maybe that is bad but my previous phone didn't make half a day before needing a recharge
SweetJerryWine
I haven't updated to 6.1 - my battery was awful enough as it was. iPhone 5 here. I charge my phone at night, get up for work at 5am and am at work for 5:30. Rarely do I use my phone in that time. During the work day, I don't use it on shift, just on breaks - so that gives me 1 hour total of use (just Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, sometimes check VC - that's really it) and 7ish hours standby. Come 2:00, when I'm off work, my phone is down to 60% or less - on bad days, it can be lower than 40% by that time. I'm not crazy, right? That's pretty shitty battery? I'm very lucky if, after that, I can make it last the rest of the day.
alogical
as for battery, if your iPhone is over a year old (and you don't have additional AppleCare warranties) you can replace the battery in like fifteen minutes for around $10. Doing that on my 4S once the replacement battery comes in the mail.
abovetheearth
I've heard bad reviews bout the 4S and the 5. I got the 4 and upgraded to 6.1. No battery issues at all. Blame Siri.
Guest
do you just have 38 apps running at a time?
anchorclose
the bad reviews of itunes 11 are fucking stupid. it's straight up more functional. i love it. Layout is just a little different than we're all used to...but it does make more sense. Had to click around to find some things, but I ended up liking it better. marc32137
No change with my 4S after upgrading today. And I guess I've gotten used to iTunes 11. Only thing I really miss is having artwork in the bottom left corner.
hipsterasfolk
Love iTunes 11 Updating my iPhone 5 right now, followed by all the updating I'll be doing when I get home for my parents and little bros
ronniegwilliams
I work in cell phones and have yet to hear anything regarding iOS 6.1 and battery life, though I'm sure I certainly will in the near future. I'm pretty stoked for 6.1 though considering there should be a jailbreak here shortly. Side note: Apparently jailbreaking will revert back to being illegal here in the near future based on new FCC regulations. Lame.

Wow now I'm sad, I was so excited when I saw that they've jailbroken the 5 on 6.1. If it goes back to being illegal that will suck, but most likely won't stop most people from doing it. shamrocks
i have grown to love itunes 11 although its slower, somehow, and i miss my album art in the lower left hand corner. i like the features added more than i miss the ones taken away and im still running 5.0.1 on my 4s, but super psyched about the 6.1 JB about to drop
onefallenhero
I just downloaded it. I was watching netflix on my phone and noticed that the battery life drained faster then when I was watching earlier in the day. Nothing super crazy.
