birdwell
Sounds like an Explosions in the Sky ripoff. Also, sounds nothing like Mogwai. didn't say it sounded like Mogwai....i said, if you enjoy Explosions In The Sky, Mogwai, ect. ain't no reason to hate. if you don't dig it, the only thing you wasted was a few minutes of your time

Nah it's a band smaller than them but still one I think a lot of people here will dig. I'm not gonna announce anything until tests are approved, i'll just keep teasing. Aych
Bear with me here. Clipping is a harsh noise/rap group, and though the actual music is definitely not for everyone (a.k.a. little to no melody, super-explicit content), the rapper is one of the most lyrically talented people I've heard in a long, long time. I mean, his verses in between the static on the intro track blew me away the first time I heard it. Definitely worth a listen. http://clppng.bandcamp.com/album/midcity
SpazzyMcGee
Abandon Kansas used to be on Gotee Records but they split from the label a while ago and went back to being independent. They have their single coming out on a limited 7". They're sound has varied from their last two albums and eps but I'm still sticking with 'em. They like The Killers a lot and I know the singer has been influenced by the recent hip hop and electronic music. http://abandonkansas.bandcamp.com/

swisherprice
Local band for me, but I can't stop listening to them! http://wearelions.bandcamp.com/ Recommended if you like This Town Needs Guns, Tubelord, A Great Big Pile Of Leaves, Native, and Algernon Cadwallader. All of their releases are free on their bandcamp, but Forgettingism has a tape preorder up on EMP'R'R Records and MTNZ was pressed to vinyl by Enjoyment Records last year.
