Went berserk when I read 'All Them Witches' at Helmet Lady and found that it was Effervescent. I need that in my life so much. That price though. Ouch. Between that and Luminiferous on starburst wax, got to keep an eagle eye out for some possible bargains. Still can't believe we'll get a third full-length album from ATW this year. It's deemed to blow almost everything else out the water. Windhand will be a contender though. If anyone still hasn't listened to Chelsea Wolfe's Abyss, get on it. Another AOTY, for sure. The photo of that Hawkeyes prompted me to give them a listen. I'd totally overlooked it, even with all the hype in this thread. That record rips. So dark and heavy. Haven't gone past track one to find out whether it's all-instrumental though? First track is awfully strong indeed for being without vocals. I'm really thirsty for some more instrumental doom, definitely not enough of it around, great to find some. Here it is for all of you who missed it Also, some of you dudes might be into the band Heaters. Definitely one to listen to if you're digging Mondo Drag. Not doom but perhaps falls into the stoner category a bit, psych a lot. Beyond Is Beyond Is Beyond has their upcoming album up for pre-order (with two promising tracks released already) but you can get some of their earlier material for free off Bandcamp. I just ordered them from the Century Media Euro store for the same price they'd be PO'ed from Amazon, and I got the Euro only/100 clear on 3 of the 4. Just a heads up! (I've also emailed them to see if I can get the VAT deducted from my total, as it would knock a good $25 off my order and make it super inexpensive unless I have to pay customs taxes.) Missed the clear on one of them :/ Ended up being like $5 more than just getting them from Amazon. It's also made me sick to my stomach spending all that money.
