They had $1 sales and % off but nothing else. They wanted to but said that waited til the last minute. The people at my favorite store were being really pissy because they were so busy and they just wanted to watch the bands play. Obviously you're gonna be busy, you work in a record store on fucking Record Store Day, asshole. And the place is so tiny, you can hear the band playing out the door and down the street. STFU and give me some records. They were advertising all the usual RSD deals, but when I did the stuff in order to get the free vinyl, they obviously weren't just gonna give it to me. Every time I had to be like, "So...don't I get _____?" If you're not gonna do your job, gtfo and I'll leave the damn money on the counter. But really, I got 12 records, and only paid for 5. They were on the list so I wake up early and go down there and ask the clerk for the Black Keys 7", he says they don't have it, but I can buy it on CD. I say, "what are you drunk? Soundgarden. My friend and I totally bought the last two Vampire Weekend 7"s, sorry dude! If it makes you feel any better, the rehearsal version of Oxford Comma isn't that great. I was hoping for like an alternate version, but it's basically a lesser quality recording of the same song. I also stumbled right after I picked it up, propelling the 7" right out of the case and onto the filthy floor. Soundgarden had a pretty shitty selection though. I usually have better luck there. The Beat wasn't doing anything really, but R5 was having a big event, w/ bands playing, record swap, r'n'r garage sale, etc. i picked up the breeders 7" for a buddy. 4.99 w/ $2 bucks off. nice. at the record swap i got: alk3 - maybe i'll catch fire black $5 rancid - let's go 2xlp white $15 atdi - in/casino/out casino clear $5 not a bad haul. not bad at aaalll. and at dimple in roseville i found another alk3 goddamnit reissue (red). 2 of them actually. dimple through in that record store day comp and another vinyl sampler. if anyone wants those for some reason, let me know.
