Okami
If it isn't his fault I'd assume amazon has to take responsibility not him More than likely they're are just asking out of courtesy, but will likely cancel order due to pricing error this same thing happened to me. Why wouldn't they just automatically cancel it then? Seems like a lot of extra work to email every single buyer and then when they end up not canceling, they do it anyway...why the extra time consuming step? It's not like they emailed everyone individually. It was written once and sent to everyone. Regardless, it's strange that they'd do it at all. amaestre
It hurts them as sellers to cancel too many orders

I believe it makes the seller look worse by canceling all the orders compared with buyers canceling the orders voluntarily, but that is just my opinion. Okami
Hey, I think it sucks that orders are being cancelled. I believe they should honor the price ,but mistakes happen. But that still doesn't make it suck any less.

That actually makes sense. But when it comes to a glitch or system error, it should void any bad rep or feedback for the seller (wishful thinking). Plus, the email I received said I ordered Season 17 of The Simpsons when I actually ordered Physical Graffiti... I think I'm just going to let it go and see what happens. I'm sure it will get canceled regardless, unfortunately.

psus2h
I think if he canceled everyone's order his store would basically shut down because it would exceed some Amazon limit for sellers. If the buyers cancel then it doesn't affect him the same way.
throughbeingcruel
I really fucking want Houses of the Holy so I'm holding out as long as I have to. I share my prime account with my parents and sister, so I can't say if I got an email from the seller or not.

Sidney Crosley
I'm pretty torn about this. I think what I would really want to know would be whether the software bug was on the seller's side or on Amazon's. Especially if it were the latter, I should think that Amazon should take some of the responsibility. Or, if it were TUNES' fault, I would want to see them trying to share some sort of compensation to prospective buyers who cancel - otherwise, they'll be out of business no matter what based on lousy feedback. Judging by their current prices online, their prices are generally pretty bloated as it is...

simple_torture
Since the order will be canceled anyway if I don't cancel it, I'm just going to cancel it. Would hate for the seller to lose their livelihood (ability to sell on Amazon) due to a computer bug, no matter who's responsible.
Cpen5311
Since the order will be canceled anyway if I don't cancel it Is this fact?
Dominic_
Is this fact? Not as far as I know. If I were in this position I'd eat the loss to keep my storefront and go bitch at Amazon
