Portsi
Got some very underrated post rock albums today: Our Ceasing Voice - That Day Last November (Clear / 100) Ordered this directly from the band. They also sent me a cd version of their previous album and a 7". I almost feel bad that i only paid 15 euros for this. Please check out this band and support them if you like the music. Jeniferever - Choose A Bright Morning (Clear W/ Blue & Green Splatter / 200) 180 gram Denovali Records makes beautiful releases. Just wow. David The Gnome
Where and for how much, if you don't mind me asking? eBay, $60ppd offer. Basically, the highest I was ever willing to go on it. Good stuff. The Arctic Rodeo Recordings pressings of this are even cooler than the AFS pressings. I do appreciate the swirl variants from AFS but yeah, I'm definitely partial to ARR. Frederic and Frank are both solid guys.

David Loyd
Dokken - Beast in the Middle East still sealed for $6 in my local record shop. Opened, warped, but didn't affect play so I'm keeping it.

I drove Great White from their hotel to the show and somehow got the bullshit task of doing their laundry. They were cool dudes though. Jack Russell kept asking me if I could find him pills and I was like 17 and had no idea people abused pills. I kept telling him I could get him weed but that wasn't good enough. Anyway, I digressed. Great album.

Great album. Man I loved Jaxx. some awesome metal shows through there. Empire has some decent ones too but mot nearly as often. Haha I think they were all into something. I saw them open for Tesla somewhere. One of my first concerts ever in Towson Maryland? In 89? Anyway they were at the height of their popularity and before the show a bunch of us were hanging in the parking lot with albums, CD's just looking to get them signed. So Mark Kendall, theyre guitarist walks up. I had my Tesla record and my Great White record, and he was so high/ drunk he grabbed my Tesla record and signed it even as the group of people are saying, "wrong record man"! He just looked at his signature for a few seconds, said 'sorry' and stumbled off with some groupie. Played flawlessly that night though haha. Youinreverse
So bummed I had to miss the PDX show. It was great. This was the first Lou Barlow related show I've ever been to. Everytime he or Dinosaur Jr have come through it's been 21+. Glad to finally be rid of the restrictions of being under 21.

Glad to finally be rid of the restrictions of being under 21. That's why I missed it. I hate not being 21. I am just glad I saw them last September. I missed Built to Spill play two nights because of that a few months ago and it was the biggest bummer ever. I miss like nearly every show I want to see.
