  1. Secret Santa 2016 - The Unisex Edition

http://imgur.com/a/EDWX7 I put all the pictures in an album because there was SO MUCH! I opened my present last week, but with work and Christmas and traveling I kept forgetting to get on here and make a post. Thanks so much to @Youinreverse for all of the wonderful gifts! I'm not familiar with all of the records, so I'm excited to dive into some new stuff. Also I forgot to take pictures of the two Bob's Burgers pops and the burger book. I love everything and I can't thank you enough for being so generous.
  2. was gonna say this. helloooooooo. i'm at work for another few hours so i figured it's a good time to get on here and i also think a run-on sentence is a good idea and i wanna be on this page.
  3. Top 10 Live Sets of 2016

I kept a good record of shows I've been to up until the start of this year, so I'm trying to remember everything. The ones that stand out immediately are Jenny Lewis & the Watson Twins at Immanuel Presbyterian Sanctuary in LA - Rabbit Fur Coat is an all-time favorite of mine and this whole show was beautiful. Nice as Fuck at the Glasshouse in Pomona - again, Jenny Lewis is great and this one was short and intimate and so much fun. Anderson .Paak at 1015 Folsom in SF - I had no idea who he was, but a friend of mine said I should go because it was free and they thought I'd dig it. holy shit! the dude is fantastic and I was hooked immediately. mewithoutYou at HOB Anaheim/Echoplex LA - these two shows run together a little for me even though they always do different sets. There's always something that stands out and I will never ever tire of seeing them. Looking forward to more shows next year. I saw a bunch of other shows, but a lot of them were just what I was expecting and they don't really need special mention. I'll probably remember some cool stuff after posting, but this is a good list for now. Also a quick list of shows I was supposed to go to, but didn't get to for whatever reasons - Set Your Goals, Poison the Well, Flight of the Conchords, Brand New/Modest Mouse, Field Mouse/Cymbals Eat Guitars.

  5. Secret Santa 2016 - The Unisex Edition

hey santa! i just logged in for the first time in almost four months so that i can tell some things about myself! woo! i think i'll be coming back around more now that things are settling down in my life. i still like records and VC, just needed a break. This is the perfect reason to come back. i'm nic, 28, living in Anaheim, CA. Grew up near here and just moved right next to Disneyland a few weeks ago. It's great so far! I have an almost-two-year-old daughter and a lovely wife and we are all so happy to be in a new place next to one of our favorite places. One big thing --- I really really reallllyyyy need to update my collection... so the link you were given is sorta useful but also fairly inaccurate. i apologize for that, but this summer and all the moving has made it hard to get that updated. i promise i will do that this week <3 things i like... music - mewithoutYou, the chariot, '68, everything Josh Scogin does, thrice, every time i die, everything jenny lewis does, regina spektor, tegan and sara, saves the day... off the top of my head. that's a good direction, i think. tv/movies - arrested development, bob's burgers, last man on earth, rupaul's drag race, wayward pines, parks and rec, the office / the sting, fantastic mr. fox, emperor's new groove, bill and ted's excellent adventure, big lebowski i don't read much but i would like to and i'd probably be inclined to read a comic book or a biography before i read a novel. my kid really loves books and i like reading with her, so that would be something i'd like if you're thinking about that miscellaneous stuff - like i mentioned before we are a Disney loving family and we go to the parks often. There are a lot of toys (Pops, figurines, etc.) around our house and there could always be more. I drive a lot for work and would love podcast recommendations if you're into any... i like sports stuff, food, how to be amazing. i like to cook and am a big fan of alton brown. i love beer and drink whiskey occasionally. Instagram is @ncharrison, Facebook is Nic Harrison sorry for being all over the place. feel free to ask questions if you want to know anything else. lauren could probably help you out. thanks, santa! hope you're well wherever you may be!
  6. ETR Superfans

    I don't think I have a 45 rpm radio. Too bad. Also, "Parent's"....... Fuck.
  7. This happened to several people. Info a few pages back.
  8. Recently Viewing

What We Do in the Shadows. Loved it.
  9. Haven't heard anything about the pressing number on the tour variant or how many they're selling per show, but I was able to grab a copy an hour after doors. So there's that.
  10. The Concert Thread

At the Drive-In last night. Thrice tonight. Poison the Well x2, Styx, Weezer/Panic/Andrew McMahon coming up this summer. Probably other things too, we'll see.
  11. this is kinda what happened to me with at the drive-in last night. friend from SF couldn't come down... ended up going alone and i gave away my extra ticket. for some reason there were tickets for <$20 on stubhub so i didn't even bother trying to sell.
  12. It was rad. I got a drumstick at the end of the show.
