Or a limited and color variant? I feel like most people are completely glossing over how gorgeous that special edition is because there's a limited blue variant out there. And don't get me wrong, I ordered both. But I am legitimately excited to get that special edition. I love my AMSP and I would love to one day get my hands on IR for a decent price. This is a wonderful addition to those, and like you, I love flipping through that stuff when listening. I do it quite often with AMSP.

I don't understand the difference in price between this and the RSD variant.

Grabbed a copy of Kind of Blue before I cancelled my membership. I'll sign back up when another record interests me. But I couldn't pass up the free shipping for that great sounding pressing.

I've listened a few times. Like it. Suppose it is what I expected. Not enough 2-D for me, especially in the first half of the album. But that is just what this project is for Damon now. But I'm happy with it overall. Also wish that the deluxe came with the extra tracks on vinyl. Seems to serve as an epilogue to the arc of the main album, and almost feels incomplete without those tracks.

Yeah seeing $15 now but not thrilled with that either. I had two in my cart by accident originally and then when I removed one shipping still showed at $30. After clearing my cart and readding, it is correct now. Still the high price doesn't add up to me.

Oh c'mon. Soothsayer on vinyl. I need it. So much for holding off on spending money. Nice to finally see Buckethead on vinyl though. Hope it becomes a trend for him. But why leave Mecha Gigan and Slunk Parade off? There's certainly the room for it all. Honestly, perhaps it is where Soothsayer falls on the track list. EDIT: Wait, is shipping really $30 $15?

I can only comment on the GITD variant. Surface noise throughout. It is what it is. It's to be expected with the novelty. Still happy to own it.

I'd love to know the color of the vinyl for the boxset. I don't understand why they are withholding that information.

On another note, for the amount of t-shirts that Mondo has released lately, you'd think some of them wouldn't suck. I think the only one I can remember liking recently is the 2001: A Space Odyssey one that they sold at the screenings a month or so ago. The rest are super lazy and boring or just plain ugly in my opinion.

Lol I meant just the three that they've released so far is a nice set together. I do quite like Alien 3 though and the score as well. But fuck Resurrection.

I think it's cool that they've done Eng's artwork for all the Alien releases. That in itself is a nice little set if you have all of them.

Unless you find a copy online from a US retailer, it's unlikely. Considering that the D2C variant will be probably around $30 + $6 shipping I'd say $50 is as solid a deal you can get after striking out on RSD.

Am I seeing this right? You have to PayPal them the money separately? Translation is very spotty on the site.

Turntable Lab Update: Just went. They have a decent amount still available for certain records. But I talked to one of the guys there and he said that their extra stuff isn't going up today. Said it might not even be for a couple weeks. I saw Bruce, Space Jam, The Sundays, Big L, SDRE, The Head and the Heart, Marcy Playground, Jaco Pastorius, and I think Superchunk. And others I'm of course forgetting. But who knows if anything will last.

Patience is the name of the game for this stuff. Prices almost always drop. My favorite example that I thought of the other day was people paying $70-$100 days after 2014 RSD for the GITD Ghosbusters single. And now you can score it for like $25 on Discogs or the right auciton on eBay. I didn't understand the hype for that release. But instant gratification, man.
