shawnayala90 reacted to Shelby in PO: Nai Harvest - Hairball
180 gram upgrade w/ no extra cost plus most limited and clear isn't even something super crazy, no brainer there.

shawnayala90 reacted to Giekorock in PO: ALEXISONFIRE - BOX SET (2nd Edition) + More
Just saying I called Xfest and Sonic Boom on Friday.

shawnayala90 reacted to corey. in PO: Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate) - What It Takes to Move Forward
Let us know what color of starburst you like the most and then we'll discuss this album. I'm in for pink, everyone knows that's the classic go-to. Even taco bell has a slushie of it. (Not sure if I'd enjoy that or any starburst as a slushie though)

shawnayala90 reacted to Princess Logan in Records from bands you didn't know were so expensive/rare until joining VC
Dear and the Headlights also are a lot more rare/sought after than I expected.
A member on here sold them to me if I mailed him cookies and to this day, it is the best trade that has ever gone down.

shawnayala90 reacted to corey. in PO Soon: Future Crooks (ft. Weatherbox's Brian Warren), Bad Timing Records' first signing
Slept on this album so hard cause I judged the name / artwork like an idiot. This album is sooo catchy, good stuff.

shawnayala90 reacted to throughbeingcruel in PO: Adventures - Self-Titled 7" via No Sleep Records
They finally went up at like 6 pm on Tuesday. Luckily they posted a 21% code immediately before Adventures went live.

shawnayala90 reacted in PO soon: Touché Amore/Self Defense Family split
i knew this board was full of weaklings, but i had no idea the infiltration was so deep. i was expecting an outpouring of praise for this thing, but everyone else is busy posting about All Time Low, i guess.

shawnayala90 reacted to kidamnesiac in PO: The Hotelier - It Never Goes Out
Did not realize this was their first LP and ordered in my excitement. Had to cancel. Their pre-Home... material is not really my flavor.

shawnayala90 reacted to jhulud in Shoegaze/Dream Pop Thread
That Center of the Sun record is great! Sad that the band called it a day before really getting out there.
But thankfully Ally and Rick are out with a new band: MTHR.

shawnayala90 reacted to suchashorttime in PO SOON: Beach Slang - Cheap Thrills On A Dead End Street 7"
would be even cooler if they only gave you 75% of an after dinner mint.

shawnayala90 reacted to Moglog in PO SOON: Beach Slang - Cheap Thrills On A Dead End Street 7"
I've received Airheads with orders from both Tiny Engines and Polyvinyl. However, only Polyvinyl gave a full size, so I can see why Beach Slang made the switch.

shawnayala90 reacted to One Hundred Fifty-Two in Official VC Butt Rock and Lost Boys Thread
In an effort to clean this place up and regain some credibility I am opening up an outlet for anything vinyl related for Butt Rock and Lost Boys bands. Everything relating to these bands will go here allowing the rest of the board to function efficiently. Because this is sort of a safe space I am mandating that all insults be either thinly veiled or back handed. Blatant disrespect for these acts will not be tolerated. I will be updating this list as things progress.
Butt Rock - This is the type of music that your older brother who peaked as a junior varsity football player, still drives the hand me down car he got when he turned 16, calls people pussies, and takes one class at community college listens to on a scratched up CD with his sweet ass stereo.
- Theory of a Deadman
- Nickleback
- Three Days Grace
- Puddle of Mudd
- Breaking Benjamin

Lost Boys - This shit was your jam back in the summer before high school. It was playing when you had your first kiss. You occasionally put on their t-shirt despite it being two sizes too small. The music really spoke to you the way nothing before it or after it has. When you close your eyes with this playing you can still smell her hair and taste her lip gloss.
- Cute Is What We Aim For
- This Providence
- Forever The Sickest Kids
- Good Charlotte
- Simple Plan
- Allister
- The Maine
- Cartel
- Ataris

If you would like a band added feel free to make a post. If you feel a band shouldn't be on this list put a youtube video of a song that was written in the last three years as evidence that the band is still relevant today.
And if you make a thread about a soundtrack just go ahead and delete your account.

shawnayala90 reacted to jhulud in PO: Milk Teeth - Sad Sack EP (FFO: Nothing, Pity Sex, Superheaven, Nirvana)
Listened to this. Really fuckin' diggin' it! Definitely feels like a throwback to 90's alt-rock and Veruca Salt as futurekills mentioned.
I'm hooked and ordered.

shawnayala90 reacted in PO: Foxing - The Albatross

shawnayala90 got a reaction from mssskat184 in WTB: La Dispute ('Vancouver', 'Here, Hear')
Dude how did it go?!
To me this seems like a very thoughtful, wonderful gift. La Dispute is one of those bands that can very much bring two people close. The band espouses so much understanding and beautiful moments in the lyrics and music, its only natural that translates to the listeners and their lives.
Anyway, once again this is an awesome gift and something I feel is a really special thing about this hobby. I hope the sellers all know their stuff went to a very caring cause.

shawnayala90 reacted to deer in PO NOW: The Hotel Year (The Hotelier) - Home, Like No Place Is There
Really low-quality photo because this room doesn't have good lighting + there's no great spot for a camera, but yeah. All the variants with the exception of the most recent 2 and the Tour Press. (the 2nd press teal and 3rd press green are very similar)

shawnayala90 reacted to eshame in TITLE FIGHT - HYPERVIEW 2/3/15

shawnayala90 reacted to dantheriver in TITLE FIGHT - HYPERVIEW 2/3/15
Haha. Stage dive to that, nerds!
Seriously though, the original version of that song is fucking rad. But I do like this Hyperviw version as well.

shawnayala90 reacted to Dunkpunk123 in TITLE FIGHT - HYPERVIEW 2/3/15
Looking forward to snagging this from HT. So from what I'm understanding is that there is a HT variant, FYE/Hastings variant, and then the pressing from Anti?
Title Fight is my favorite band and majority of my collection is TF based. After reading a lot of these comments I would totally agree that there last few records have sounded bad on wax. I've played my Floral Green variant multiple times but it still doesn't not sound very good, so I am not surprised there is a lot of complaints about the noise on these ones. But I do not agree with Floral Green being their best album, I'm more of a Shed guy myself and all the variants I have of that sound amazing. But since Floral Green I have not been to happy with the vinyl releases.
So kind of anxious when it comes to picking this up, but I totally need to have a few copies.
