  1. I got mine today and it was in great shape, except it looks like I have a seam split in the making on the inner sleeve. Not surprising since they're pretty thin. Love the packaging overall, the embossed letters are a really nice touch. Listened to it twice in a row and it's solid all the way through. I got chills the first time I heard Ethel.
  2. I just looked into it out of curiosity, the application form is simple as hell and it they say they take 90% of applicants! I guess it's $40 upon load delivered and then an additional $20 afterwards. Not necessarily getting rich off of it, but I suppose it's free money for a substance that plenty of gentlemen donate into a sock on a regular basis. I wonder how many times a week you can do it? In regard to buttbuttbutt's dilema, I mostly agree with Infralateral Ark. I think it would be unfair to get the guy out of your life like that. I do think it might help to take a step back and spend less time with him though. That'll give you some time to think about things without completely cutting him out of your life. I haven't really been in a similar situation, so I don't have any first hand experience on this one. I will say that if he isn't ready for a relationship or doesn't want one, it most likely won't end if you try to start one. It might also help that whenever you spend time with him, do it on a group situation. Don't put your self in scenarios where things really could happen, make circumstances work for you. My best friend is a lady, but we've also known each other for 15 years or something. We both realize that even though there is some attraction between us, we'd be a terrible couple. Anyway, I'm getting hungry and am tired of thinking. I hope things work out well for you! You know us bozos in here will be more than happy to give our advice too.
  3. I've been meaning to start that up. It looks entertaining, but I'm also so committed to so many damn shows right now. Maybe I'll get caught up over the holidays when TV slows down for a few months.
  4. I try to keep my inventory as low as possible, have as much being made as being sold. Not sure if that's the best way to go about it though.
  5. I really love Chew, it's clever and the artwork is real unique. I'd recommend grabbing the first trade. The Unwritten started extremely well, but I feel like it's fizzled a bit over the last couple years. I think that happens with a lot of books once they past the four or five year mark though. Enjoy East of West, I have this thread to thank for putting that on my radar.
  6. Looks like Hastings has this for $17.43 with $1.00 shipping : http://www.gohastings.com/product/POPMUSIC/Everyday-I-Get-Closer-to-the-Light-from-Which-I-Came/sku/291766961.uts The black vinyl is delayed (according to Hydra Head's store), so I'm guessing it has to be the grey.
  7. I wonder if this delayed shipping is due to Hydra Head switching their store from Blue Collar to Big Cartel?
  8. I'm a sucker for clear. It does make me think I need a less bland slip mat though.
  9. Yeah, that made my morning! It was pretty clever. Did you guys see the ad that Brent did for that restaurant? I thought it was pretty funny. I like how they don't take themselves too seriously like a lot of bands in aggressive music.
  10. I queued up some of his music last night thanks to this thread, instantly transported me back 9-10 years. I think I'll listen to more when I get home.
  11. I only listened to a few of them, but was surprised by how much more dominant the synth beats were.
  12. Looks like it's up to $34.99 on Amazon now, glad I locked in at $26.47. Thanks for this, I'm excited to hear some of those demos!
  13. Damn, I wish I had cash for that Sawblade 12". That's an elusive beast!
  14. The black first pressing was for RSD 2011. Perhaps they're repressing it for Black Friday RSD 2013?
  15. I remember how bummed out I was reading the news of this. I listened to a lot of Elliott Smith that year, thinking about this brings back a lot of memories for me.
  16. Not a problem! I think it'll be interesting ti see what everyone's opinions are when boxes start arriving. I'm looking forward to mind, seems like it'll be perfect for work.
  17. Mine should be on my doorstep by the time I wake up, putting that on and drinking coffee will be the first couple hours of my day. I have yet to hear a bad thing about it.
  18. Should be three left, go nuts kids. D55TY419P
  19. It's probably more based on woman than anything else. I've had sex with someone who has a kid, but I didn't have sex with her prior to the child. So I'm not really sure if her business had changed down there because of it or not. I didn't notice anything drastically different (compared to other woman) the two or three times it happened. I say give it a spin and let us know what you find out!
  20. I liked Preacher as a whole, but the juvenile humor wore thin on me. I wouldn't discourage anyone from reading it due to that, I mainly thing that style of humor is completely hit or miss with me.
  21. I don't know what to recommend specifically, but I'll list off some stuff that I've enjoyed from the last decade or so. Ongoing : American Vampire (on a hiatus) Chew East of West The Goon (on a hiatus) Saga The Li'l Depressed Boy (on a hiatus) Six Gun Gorilla Trillium The Unwritten The Wake The Walking Dead Finished : 100 Bullets Bone DMZ Daytripper Ex Machina Preacher Rasl Sandman Scalped Scott Pilgrim Sweet Tooth Transmetropolitan Y The Last Man If you have any questions about specific ones, let me know. There are also quite a few Fables spinoffs, but I don't recall any of them being nearly as good as Fables. Edit : This also reminds me that I'm a good month behind on things.
