I somehow feel like Raffi's death won't affect the show at all. I'd be surprised if a year from now (show time), he's dead. I think part of the reason I liked the episode so much was due to the fact that I think the show has stalled out a bit. It's funny and I like watching it every week, but I haven't been surprised by anything they've done in a while. This episode definitely surprised me. Also, the whole driving section was hilarious.

I thought it was great, but I really like Raffi and dug seeing him get his own episode. The pocket hot dog running joke killed me. Edit : I will say though, it's hard to consider it an episode of The League.

Non Fiction is my favorite track on the album right now. -

That's a good sized first press, so awesome that it sold out fairly fast! I played the hell out of it for the first couple weeks. -

Hate to bum you out, but that's who/where mine came from in a bubble mailer. -
I think this sums up my thoughts well. Allelujah was a good release, but it has nothing on the earlier albums. I do love the artwork and the overall presentation of the release, although it was a little obnoxious switching from 12" to 7" and back again.

That's insane! Getting an ABV like that on a beer is incredibly impressive, I would love to have an ounce of that. A friend of mine gave me a bomber of Pike Place Brewery's Harlot's Harvest. Pretty disappointing pumpkin ale. It was way too sweet for my taste. Not enough pumpkin flavor, too much spice. It wasn't necessarily a bad beer, but I couldn't really recommend it either.

What books are you reading?

I liked it. It definitely felt like it wasn't the 'adult' novel that they're making it out to be. Fun read though. -

I had trouble getting good vinyl photos without that yellow for a long time. My solution was more light without a flash, but that might just work for the room I was in too. My suggestion is dick around with your light sources and see what works best with what you have. -
SONS OF ANARCHY Season 6 Thread **Spoilers**
radiatorhums replied to jhulud's topic in Everything Else Message Board
You sir, apparently have never been to prison, and had needs! Man needs. Needs that can only be satisfied by the touch of another. I dunno, but if television and movies have taught me anything, that is common prison behaviour. My only current thought on this episode is that I like that there is a little crossover from The Shield (Byz-Lats and CCH Pounder). -

It's cuz you had the second one for support, strength in numbers! -
I cannot argue with that statement. I love it when he pops up in things randomly, especially after seeing him play such a goofy character on Raising Hope (Looper for example). My recent viewings are as follows (I have way too much free time) : Six Feet Under : Finished it a few days ago. My initial feeling of it being like a soap opera only really applied to the first season. I'm not sure if that's because they changed the style a bit or if I came to like the show much I didn't notice/care. I loved it overall, I felt seasons 2/3 and the last half of the 5th were the strongest though. Also, Brenda was fucking awful and she might be my least favorite fictional character of all time. I cringed every damn time she was on the screen. Even with that, still dug the show. The Kings of Summer : I enjoyed it, but it fizzled a little for me about half way through. The supporting cast was excellent (and really funny) and it was an overall well done movie. Worth watching once or twice. Save the Date : I expected more of a comedy based on the cast, but it definitely leaned harder on the (light) drama side. It was good and worth the watch, but it really didn't blow me away. I also learned that Lizzy Caplan has great legs, so that might have been worth the watch too. Exit Through the Gift Shop : I'm glad I watched it, but I'm also glad I didn't rush to see it.

I keep meaning to get a copy of that, but I'm always worried that every used copy I see will be a little too noisy. -
I have to work that night, but I can almost always squeeze it in before I leave. Can't really have a viewing party though, that sounds like a blast!

I enjoyed it quite a bit. The later seasons get a little more wholesome, which turned me off a bit, but it was fun for the overall. Raising Home is what Greg Garcia (Earl's creator) is doing now. The humor is similar, worth looking into if you dig Earl.

Child Bite / We Are Hex split LP available now!
radiatorhums replied to forgeagain's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
That's such a rad looking release. I've only heard one Child Bite track and I really liked it. I might roll the dice on this and see if I dig it. Bare minimum, it'll still be cool looking even if I don't care for what's on it.- 28 replies
