oop graveface stuff onsale soon
radiatorhums replied to mattalica17's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Xiu Xiu is easily one of my favorite artists, but I can completely understand how someone would not like them. If any of you Record Club folks want to get rid of your Xiu Xiu album, let me know. -
It was really good and I'd recommend it to any fans of Constellation, Hydra Head or Neurot Records (or similar labels). The DVD is kind of pricey and I don't have a copy myself, so I can't say if it's worth the cost there, but it's definitely worth sitting down to watch it if you get a chance.

If this starts back up again, I would be down for doing it. I need to setup my cassette deck for recording and buy some blanks, but I'm interested. Sounds fun to me!

Yeah, you're correct. It's the same guy who did Blood, Sweat and Vinyl was filming a lot of their last tour. He's friends with the girl I was seeing at the time and was recording the show we went to. I'd love another OMG tour, they were great when I saw them last time. On a side note, I went to the first or second screening of Blood, Sweat and Vinyl and Aaron and Faith were in attendance.

That is excellent news! I'd love it if OMG became a very active project again.

Any bike enthusiasts here?
radiatorhums replied to shenanigans's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Yeah, just the front break. Thanks for the advice! I don't see my friend who sold it to me too often and he's my only real bike info guy. I can feel the slack when I ride and haven't gotten around to looking into it. Roads are so wet here half the year that a fender is crucial. -
I've been looking forward to that, those two girls are hilarious. I'm going to try and get to it in the next few days, thanks for the heads up!

so is anyone into collection prints/posters also?

^ That's great, 10$ well spent if you ask me! I'm also happy that show is back on, it's been too long without it. -

I grabbed Archers of Loaf - All The Nations Airports and Liars - Liars, $21.92 shipped! Not too shabby. Couple other albums I'll go back and try and get if they're still around when I get paid on Friday. Thanks for the heads up! -

I feel like they're very comparable in that manner (and quite a few others really). -

I didn't really think about that either. I'm assuming he got hit buy one of his own bullets, but I don't know for sure.

That DESCENDENTS sticker on your bike is perfectly placed! http://instagram.com/jonrawks for me. Trying to take/post more pictures that aren't of my dog, but it hasn't worked so far. I'll probably follow most people back unless you're posting constant food pics.

How often do you change your needle?

I usually see between 500 and 1000 hours. -

I'll slowly start posting mine. Was on a family trip to Las Vegas and the Get Up Kids were conveniently playing at the same time. Matt Pryor signed it. Also, flying with a print and no poster tube is a pain in the ass. That's what caused the bits of damage on the sides. -
Had some downtime this week, so I blew through some movies. Watched How To Make Money Selling Drugs, Indie Game - The Movie and The Puffy Chair. Enjoyed all three. I could easily recommend the first two, which were documentaries. I usually don't watch non-music documentaries, but I'd heard good things about both. The Puffy Chair probably won't be for most people, but I liked it.

Kind of forgot about this until I & II came up on my work playlist yesterday. Hoping a preorder pops up soon! -

This is my bike, bought it off a buddy last February. Hoping to ride it for two or three years and then build my own. -

The original pressing of American Nervoso has pretty so-so packaging too, maybe they're just doing a faithful repressing? I'll agree that Jouhou's packaging was just a bit of a let down, especially considering how well The Inalienable Dreamless turned out. Overall though, I'd say 90-95% of all the Hydra Head releases I have (and I have 50+) are quality all around. They get knocked in every thread about the cost, but I feel mostly feel like I'm getting an excellent product for the money, especially when they were still doing new releases. -

New song is up : https://soundcloud.com/sige-1/mamiffer-circle-tumulus It's really different from what I was expecting, but I like it. Stoked to hear the album as a whole.

Johnny Cash - American Recordings I - III Reissues

I'm hoping the price on Amazon will drop closer to $20/ea. If not, I'll probably pick one up every month or two. -
Ending was excellent. I agree that there weren't any 'oh wow' moments, but it was still fantastic. I'm happy Badger and Skinny Pete were able to make a brief appearance. Also, Todd's ringtone for Lydia was fucking hilarious.
