  1. These are barely a deal after the discount, then with that shipping....?
  2. Love the Willie Wright album Also saving for that Chicago blues box.
  3. I'm beginning to think that 'Desaparecidos' is a tongue-in-cheek reference to my pre-order. Never to be seen or heard.
  4. Well he deserves it. I ran into him once at a donut shop in Seattle while I was on vacation. Fuckin' nicest guy you'd ever want to meet.
  5. I bought the red one because between the two I'm a bigger iron and wine fan, and Sam beam has 5 kids to feed and put through college so you gotta help him out
  6. Just got an email from KRM to let me know the Payola red vinyl is delayed. It is "currently sitting on a truck, travelling to our warehouse". No mention of an actual ETA.
  7. I wonder what this tour is going to be like. Hopefully Ben and Sam both do some solo stuff mixed in with the covers.
  8. Red vinyl is probably Black Cricket edition, while brown vinyl would be the Brown Records edition.
  9. Limited edition red vinyl http://ambientmerch.com/collections/ironandwine/products/pre-order-iron-and-wine-ben-bridwell-sing-into-my-mouth
  10. After one listen, this album is exactly what I thought it would be. Looking forward to more listens and figuring out the lyrics.
  11. Amazon listing is unavailable at the moment, but it is available for pre-order on Bull Moose
  12. Purchased in the last month or so... Deer Tick - La Bamba 7" Deer Tick - Tim EP 10" My Morning Jacket - It Still Moves (original Badman pressing) Dikembe / Jazz June split 7" Weezer - Pinkerton (MFSL) Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell (clear) Funkadelic - Maggot Brain (peach)
  13. I have not been able to find any pre-orders available anywhere anymore. Your best bet would be to go to a local shop day of release, or give them a call beforehand.
  14. 1. Google the name of the store 2. Verify that it is their actual phone number
  15. I let my 10C membership lapse some time around 2008. I miss the days of mailing in ticket requests and all that, rather than the nightmare that has been ordering through their website and crashes and all that. I'm dying for a No Code reissue.
  16. What's even weirder is the fact that the back of the album cover itself says this:
  17. According to all the press info on the Black Keys and Record Store Days' websites, this was supposed to be a split 7" titled Meet Me In The City, with side A being the Black Keys covering Junior's song All Night Long, and Side B featuring Junior Kimbrough's version of the same song. The discogs pages for the release all list the single as being the two artists playing the song Meet Me In The City, which I'm not too interested in because the Keys already released their cover of that song on their Chulahoma EP. Did anyone pick this up and listen to it yet?
  18. I am in 100% agreement with you here. This is some sad fucking music (which is fine), but the whole album is basically one huge theme, with little variation. It is beautiful and well done, but I doubt I'll listen to this very often.
  19. jesus christ an argument over the appropriate way to treat a customer while working a 6 hour retail shift? has this become part of THE HOBBY now, too? Remember when vinyl was a musical playback format, and not whatever this nonsense is? remember music? that shit was awesome. https://www.youtube.com/embed/hdJPaGKJkmo
