Rough Trade is putting out two new Mark Lanegan Band live releases.  Limited to only 250 each.  These were pressed before his passing and meant to be sold at the merch table.

Per Rough Trade: We are very happy to have been asked by the Mark Lanegan estate to be the exclusive outlet for some of his releases. For many years Mark pressed live recordings to be sold on his Merch tables at shows. These recordings were pressed by him for the 2020 tour that had to be cancelled due to covid lockdowns in Europe & have sat in his storage since then. 

If it's a friend, you may also be able to have a shop look at it. My shop charges a $50 bench fee to check out gear before doing any work. That may put you on the $600 end with your friend though, if it looks good. 
 
I bought my 2235b ten years ago for $250. If I knew it was going to be as reliable and consistent as it is today, I would absolutely pay $600.

That’s the thing. VMP publicized on their site that it was cut by BGM and pressed at Pallas. I think people also have posted that it has the ! In the dead wax. I’m just trying to see if the standard edition is the same run, which would mean it is also.

The last single I purchased from Bullmoose (Willow Lane) came to 9 bucks with shipping. 15 per is nuts. 
 
Don't get me wrong, the singles are cool, but the price is definitely why this didn't sell out fast. Price tag should be $85. The extras are just cheap lights and paper.

More power to you, if you think it's worthwhile. I am a big fan of Ryan, and have spent a lot of dough through the years on the boxsets and singles and whatnot. Just can't see myself enjoying what feels more like novelty than a must-have release. 

Not sure what was in the Reddit thread, but I received this info regarding Figure 8 from Bong Load:
 
"We take great care in our new pressings, just as we did with the originals. Odelay is longer than Figure 8 and it sounds (sounded) fantastic. Sticking with that philosophy, we are super happy with how the new figure 8 pressing sounds. Tom Rothrock (bong load owner) produced figure 8 and we also had the original mastering engineer do some passes on our hi res source before the metal was cut and we were all very happy with the result."

Wow, lucky! I have the original black and the clear. None of the Lost Highway pressings sound particularly good, but they are both about the same to my ears. 

I used to steal milk crates from behind grocery stores. I'm not sure if that's possible any more.
You can also steal those bins the post office employees use to carry mail in. They work really well.

If I had to guess, TMV probably filed some sort of complaint against MOV, and their lawyers told them to take it down until it was all sorted.
