If that was the cover of a Flaming Lips, Weezer, Queens of the Stone Age, etc, etc album, people would be losing it over how amazing it is. When it's Kenny Loggins, John Tesh or Michael Bolton, it's suddenly lame. Kids today...

I was gonna make a Billy Joel joke when I first saw this thread, but I can totally see his stuff being reissued on 180g for RSD someday so I bit my tongue.

It's the sort of name you'd get in trouble for calling someone in school, until the teacher finds out it's real and then apologizes profusely.

This is really exciting news. This reissue was fourth of my want list, right behind: 1. "The Best of Perry Commo" Readers Digest Collector's Edition box set. 2. Random, extremely dusty Glen Campbell 45 in generic white sleeve. 3. Beat to hell sleeve of some random Beatles album with heavy pen scribbling, John and Paul's eyes crossed out and hearts around Ringo's head, missing the vinyl. Thank you, vinyl comeback!!!

Totally agree. Also, I don't think I've ever gotten a package from them where the sleeve isn't damaged, usually with some awful corner dings. I mean, it's mail order and I expect that from time to time, but their packing methods are so sub-par that it happens like clockwork.

Remember, this is the band that had a scratch-off record sleeve...

The schoolchildren inside the sweatshop that makes the Mondo sweaters are slightly older and thus more experienced on the machinery.

It sounds like they want the whole series to be 100 each release so more than that may not make sense for some of the bands.

It makes me question if "John Carpenter" is just the name of some emo band.
