You need to know what this thread is truly for: Gumbo updating us on the records he has on the way, what he paid for said records, which records got damaged in shipment, complaining about said damage, what labels he tries to get free stuff from even though the carrier damaged the record in the first place, trying to get us to join group buys even though they end up being more expensive than buying it yourself, telling us how many CDs he buys and which one is currently in his car, what bands he bothers on FB, which bands ignored him or took too long to get back to them (how dare they have lives), all while going on random tangents with drunken metaphors that make us hit our forehead on the table right after we say 'oh for fucks sake' out loud. How fucking dare you, John. This is the final straw.

The first record was dope. I'm confident this will be equally good, if not better. I love anything Evan Weiss has his hands on. Also, this being on Polyvinyl is amazing. They have consistently high quality pressings and outstanding customer service.

The thing about Gotcha is that he's had at least 2 or more prior accounts on VC.  They're easy to pick out because he dive-bombs random threads with a degree of animosity that leaves everyone scratching their heads.  If a user with < 100 posts begins to ridicule members – seemingly out of nowhere – and lashes out at them with unprecedented angst... you can bet it's the same guy being a twerp.  The part that's puzzling is that it's gone on for years.  I wholeheartedly believe that he has a social disorder and should seek professional help.  No snark; life is too short to harbor that amount of bitterness.  You can say that you enjoy a good shitpost or that you pride yourself in being a troll, whatever.  And you may even get off on people struggling with real-world shit who voice their hardships in otherwise stable communities.  But when you take the time to publicly relish in everyone's misery and pick fights online, you can't sincerely tell me that you're anything less than someone aspiring to be a try-hard mouth-breathing keyboard brawler.  Fuck off and get help.

It's my last week off work, and I'm feeling much better with the new meds. I really don't want to go back, but whatever. I have a few phone interviews this week, so I'll see how those go. Also am going to see a psychiatrist starting tomorrow, so hopefully that helps too.

Had a great time drinking with a friend of mine who I don't see much (had a kid ~8 months ago, so she's pretty busy).  Only problem was I kind of feel like I ruined my whole weekend,  since I've been bumming around the house with a hangover all day today.  Seeing Deafheaven, Emma Ruth Rundle and This Will Destroy You tonight.  Such a solid lineup.

Anyways, just listened to the new Sorority Noise. Liked it but didn't love it. Definitely the best thing they've done and I'll be revisiting it. I'd rather we get more Old Gray than SN. Slowburn was next level.
